  1. She moved under her own power! Yes.. she moved.. Only to turn around in the garage, so I can start the front. No leaks in the rear struts or solenoids. 100% airtight. I imported a good front wing ( fender) and I have a brand new door, locally. All other panels are very good. The front suspension strip down starts tomorrow. And my grinder at the ready for the badly welded box section repairs. Any tips or advice guys? Please chime in. G.
  2. It's just what we use for pretty much everything. Never failed me yet. It's $9.50 a tube. Grease is cheap no matter what you buy so..... https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/grease/synthetic-water-resistant-grease/ Being an Amsoil dealer it's easy for me to get. EA wheel bearings are prone to water intrusion in my experience - especially in off-road environments. GD

Wow, why so much hate for LED's? Using them reduces the load on your electrical system and if done correctly they are not a road hazard. I have a LED light bar on my Brat and it only gets turned when needed and with no traffic coming. If it does happen, it gets turned off just like your high beams. So far the light bar has worked with no issues, going on 3yrs now. I also converted both my wifes 05 Outback and my 03 Foz to LED. The wifes car has projectors so it was a done deal. Mine I had to retrofit a set of projectors into the housings. Btw, the headlights are HID, which might also get converted to LED soon
  4. A few years back i bought a distributor with electronic ignition but had to drill out and press on the drive gear from the points dist to make it work. Long story short.....the vaccuum advance diaphram is shot and i cant find a new one anywhere. Ill try to post a picture of the dist and the numbers from it. Any help on where to find a new or, at least operational vaccuum advance would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I remember adapting a motorcycle electronic ignition into my first EA71 distributor back in early eighties while I was a financially embarrassed bike mechanic. IIRC it was pretty easy, came off a Kawasaki I think. Used the bikes dual coil setup with longer wires installed so no more distributor cap Worked great!
