  1. Funny you say that - put one bulb back in first thing this morning and that exact pigtail nearly started an electrical fire - issue found! Just lucky I was back there doing that versus driving! Needless to say I had to cut power and cut the self -shorting pigtail after I snuffed it. Got too cooked though to know which wires were going to which to re-wire easy though - is there any online diagrams available or does anyone have a picture from there own car of that rear passenger connection?

  2. I took a 97 OBS back to Wisconsin years ago. It just turned 300K. Rusty from being in WI for years but still ticking.

  3. Front O2 sensor does the fuel trim. Rear checks how well the system is working and has no impact on the trim. That's my understanding anyway. If the engine was running way rich, it can cause CAT problems.

  5. The rear hatch has to be properly aligned with the body of the car. If there is any misalignment, the rear striker/latch may not engage fully. When the hatch is closed, the gaps around the perimeter have to be more or less equal (the Factory Service Manual has details). There are 3 adjustment points: - the mounting bolts for each of the 2 upper hinges; - the mounting bolts for the lower striker-bar (hidden under the plastic trim on the sill). I would start with adjusting the lower striker-bar: side-to-side or front-to-back. See what happens.

  6. Got me thinking it’s possible. You can search online for the factory parts manuals and take note of the base from say a 1977-78 and then match it to the 1800. I’d say be sure to do a visual match and ignore the part number difference if that’s the case. This is for Service manuals but maybe you can locate Parts somewhere. I could be wrong and maybe it’s just the Service manuals that are online. But I could swear someone recently pointed out that Parts catalogs are also out there for viewing. http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Subaru/

  7. What do I call myself ? Well , I avoid calling myself what some others call me. I guess I call myself a Subathusiast for the last couple of decades or so.
