  1. I just consider all the rust holes a poor man's sunroof.
  2. Pretty Interesting. About the only one that I do remember is the Brat from Napoleon Dynamite that Diedrich Bater (Rex Quon Do) drove.
  3. The problem that I had with mine was that alot of garbage had gotten into it and kept it from blowing at its full peak, also I had some trouble with the little connnecters on it, had to set them back just right.
  4. Wish mine has one of those anti-backfiring dealies, mine shoots a damn flame out the back everytime I shift. No wonder my girlfriend wont ride in it.
  5. I have a 91 Legacy Sedan and the only problem that I have had it is the Automatic transmission, damn thing has been slipping but it does have 215,000 miles on it.
  6. Im suprised you didnt flip since it was a rear wheel
  7. What i am talking about is taking the 5 Speed out of my GL Hatch and putting that into a 87 5 speed EA82 wagon because its tranny is burned out.
  8. Thats all I needed; thank ya.
  9. I have a 5 speed out of my EA81 hatchback, does anyone know if it will bolt up to an EA82 wagon that needs a new tranny?
  10. What mine does is it will idle really high (2000 RPM) range and then it takes about 5 minutes really to get running good; you know everything is working when you hear a loud backfire and see wildlife fleeing the side of the highway
  11. I am going with the EJ22, I have a 91 Legacy sedan with 218k and stills runs, just has bad auto-tragic tranny. My ea81 has 150k and is soon to need rebuilt due to burnt valve on number one cylinder.
  12. About the only thing I have hauled in my 84 Hatch is a couple of fat girls but I dont believe I can beat a forklift. Only downside is that my car was pulling to the right awfully bad.
  13. Thats almost like buried treaure, thats got to be the funniest thing i seen all day
  14. I get around 28.9 in my 84 GL Hatchback, thats on a good day where the back-firing is at a minimum. I think that is the biggest killer of my MPG and also there is a burnt valve on the number one cylinder.
  15. Can someone tell me where the fresh air enters the car at? Mine was sitting for about 5 years when i bought it and i believe there may be some grass/debris in it. Any help is appreciated
  16. another question that i have is what is the ECS light that comes on? and what does it do?
  17. well i pulled the fuse for the clock and the damn thing still works, and thats what i have narrowed it down to. It started the other day when the battery and the alternator went bad on teh same day and blew the fuse for the radio.
  18. I pulled the fuse for it the other day and you all know that the fuse is on the same relay as the horn. When i pulled it the clock still worked and when I pushed on the horn it lit up the back hatch; I thought it was pretty cool but its not the result I was looking for.
  19. My first thread on the forums so here it goes: i have 2 fans on my radiator i have seen one work but not the other what is up with that? Anyone know where to get an OEM 84 GL key? I have a short in the clock somwhere that drains the battery when the switch is off, so now i have to disconnect the battery anywhere i go, anyone ever have this problem? Is there any good online vintage subaru part stores? I have plenty more questions; but they will come to me in time. Thanks
  20. That is the trouble that i was having on my 84 GL hatchback, when i pushed on the clutch it felt like i was pushing on a cinder block, did the clutch cable swap tonight and now it feels like pushing into a pillow, maybe you should try it. The only thing that I didnt like is if you look at the current cable it has to bend and weeve to make the trip through the firewall to the clutch so when u get a new one dont expect it just to come off like the old one.
