GEN 1 Bushes
Cheers Kostamojen. I dug up my 72-75 parts book that I forgot I had, and emailed a few numbers off to a dealer here. Apparently all I sent to him was NLA out of Subaru Japan. I will send him that part# you gave me now. Thanks mate.

GEN 1 Bushes
Ah of course, the bushes on the crossmember end look fairly new on mine (red nolathane looking), so I hadn't planning on touching them untill later perhaps unless they were readily available. I just remembered something though about the steering rag joint, about 12 months ago when I noticed it failing I pulled the rag joint out of my '81 Brumby assuming it would be the same, The ragjoint in the GSR was roughly 5mm or so smaller diameter. So I'm not too sure there anymore. Cheers for your help.

GEN 1 Bushes
That definitely will be useful, 'Autoline' in Tauranga claim that no rag joint matches the sizing of the one I removed. I shall make some more phone calls.... I'm not sure if I quite get what bushes you mean by transverse link? Cheers, John

GEN 1 Bushes
I'm also interested to know about what people are doing for shocks too. I thought the fronts were shocks with replaceable cartridges inside. But alas it looks otherwise now I've looked closer.

Any NZers looking for wheels?

GEN 1 Bushes
Hey guys, I'm trying to track down suspension bushes for the GSR currently, and am not having much luck. There are no listings here in NZ, and the bushes don't match anything in any catalouges size-wise apparently. Looks like I may have to get them custom made, which I'm not so keen on (read-pricey) The bushes I desperately need are steering rack mount bushes and the rag joint between the steering colomn, but if anyone knows of a supplier with a good price I'll be getting basically everything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks very much John B

A few pics from the day my little yellow 1400 DL was used in filming
Looking pretty good, wish they'd focused more on what became of his sweet sweet ride instead of where the guy buggered off to. :-p

New wheels
I hear you there. I picked up these a few months ago I think they are two piece, So might be handy for fitting some AWESOMELY wide bands. They're 14's also. Haven't had a chance to fit them to anything yet as both my Subaru are parked up at the moment.

Interesting Choice of Drift car.
Yeah, nah, yeah. Have tentatively agreed to sell brumble bee at a fair price to a local polytech as an example vehicle to work on, on the basis that it goes. Super super super broke right now so last in, first out. Its the most common/buggered too.

Interesting Choice of Drift car.
Correct, one turbo 13B I believe.

What do you all think about this? Personally I think good on them, rather they did that to it than let it rust with no use at all. http://therustinthewind.com/wordpress/ And it looks like fun.

Holden Commodore (Aussie Pontiac G8)
Just to kill my curiousity, how exactly does the G8 vary from our Commy bastard? Aside from the obvious LHD/RHD thing. What kind of specs is the G8 available with?

My latest car 1973 GSR
I think they're ea71 ones. I got them mounted up today with a bit of fiddling around. It runs really bad, I have no air filters, and the throttle cable mount is a pair of vice grips....

My latest car 1973 GSR
Hey James, just looking at some pictures of your carbs there. On the drivers side of the throttle linkage, what does it rotate on? I have got some dual carbs and I'm missing this bit, and where does the throttle cable secure. You wouldn't be able to get some pictures of the linkages to help me make them up?
