  1. I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the cooling (electric) fan won't run, various opinions have been cooling sensor, thermostat, resistor?? Fuse is good I checked that. Hear is what happened the temp gauge went from 210 degrees(normal) up to 240,then the check engine light came on,A/C started blowing warm air, I was at an idle with A/C on. I turned off A/C and jeep and let it sit for awhile. Temp went back to normal, light stayed on. Drove Jeep for 30 miles, light went off and A/C blowing cold again. The fan does NOT come on when A/C is on and I think it is supposed to, any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated I can't afford a mechanic right now. Thanks in advance, Trudy

  2. I have never been known to give up easily sooo yes it will get replaced if I can find an inner fender or repaired either way it's getting fixed. Might have to duct tape it for the time being LOL :brow:

Oooo, that is nasty! Are you planning on repairing it or scrapping it? I'd hate so lose another brat to rust, but if its too far gone, so be it.
  3. When I got my 78 Brat about 2 years ago it had been sitting for about 10 years in a field. When I opened the hood there was a big field mouse living under the hood where the spare tire went. I also found a big mouse nest inside the air box. When I took the fan out to see what was going on in there I found my second big mouse nest! Mice like Subies I guess.

And who could blame them !!!!:-p

  4. Welcome to the board :) . There is a wealth of knowledge with the members of this board and I am sure someone will be able to help you. It might help if you are a little more specific with your problem. Explain what exactly is happening after you turn the key, that will help. Good luck with your subbie and enjoy the board!!!

  5. I changed one once and Moosens told me to use a 5 way painters tool to remove the seal ($4 at hardware store) and a washer approx. the same size as the seal to put it back on to get even pressure around the seal while installing it(.40 cents). It was really easy and it worked.

  6. Hey Paul, (Moosens to the rescue again)well I finaly got it off but for everyone else who has trouble I can tell you that the 4 spoke wheels do not have screws but you have to turn the horn pad counter-clockwise 1/4 inch and then pull like hell and it will come off. Thanks so much Paul I would have never figured that out. Now if I could just get the wheel itself off!!!!! (will borrow a puller LOL)
