  1. i dont think you can run leaf springs with a irs ifs drive train you would have to inboard the leafs in the rear and then make up a braket to connect the leafs to the housing. and up front you cant do it because the axle shafts go into the the tranny so you would have to have a real t case and solid axles front and rear. you can make a telescoping front drive shaft for 25 bucks out of square tubing. i made mine for my 4runner with 9 inches of slip and is smooth as a real shaft on the road. i would never pay 400 for a shaft again when you can make it for 25.
  2. i can put in every gear while its runing with no grinding. when its in gear the driveshaft does not rotate
  3. my cable comes in from the front by the motor then turns 180 to a bracket then from the bracket the actual cable is exposed then it connects to the fork and then the round spacer then first nut and then smaller one after that. if someone had a picture of a properly set up one it would be great thanks.
  4. Im going to run a 90 right off the carb with all my old pcv and vacume line ports jb welded to the 90 then just hook up the hoses then a cone either in the fender or right up front. Ill post pics when im done with it.
  5. ok so thats the one i adjusted. when i took of the tire it wasnt even on the fork and the clutch felt more like a brake, i then put it back on the fork, but not so there was nut on both sides. Both nuts where on the forks side facing the fire wall. The clutch felt like it should in this position but it still would not go. I know 5 months ago before i bought it, the clutch felt the same before the adjustment. I bought it with it not running in hopes of just putting a new clutch in, i just want to know for sure its the clutch before i replace it.
  6. colorado and i know how to weld i did my runners 7 inch lift for under 150. so fabraction is no problem i just dont know whats safe and whats not for subarus because this is the first one ive owned.
  7. is the clutch adjustment a cable that connects to a bolt type thing with two nuts on it? or is it the rod right next to it with two nuts? also i couldnt get the cable to sit on the fork coming out of the tranny correctly it sits on the round spacer that is before the bolt on the cable. Any pics of how it should look would be helpful thanks.
  8. i let out the clutch in gear and the car doesnt move and stays running as if it where still in neutral
  9. I was wondering if there is any cheap way to get around 3 to 4 inches of lift and if it is safe? if not what is the best lift for the price?
  10. It doesnt go in 4wd or 4wd low and the thing you adjust for the clutch cable is a cable right? not the big long bolt next to it with 2 nuts? Also what is the hill holder and how would i check if this is the problem? Would the clutch be part of the problem? Also does the rear have hubs and do the hubs ussaly strip? thanks jacob
  11. i have a 1984 subaru gl and when i put it in gear and let out the clutch i stand still. I adjusted the clutch cable and still nothing any ideas?
