  1. Tom Find out where it's located and I can pull that for you.... Terry
  2. What do you guys think of this (if you can believe the milage)? http://www.georgetownmotors.com/1989%20Subaru%20XTC.htm Dadeeo
  3. I can't believe all the deals you guys fall into. Here in S.W. Mich Subarus are fairly rare. Last older soob I saw on the road was about 3 weeks ago and it was a RIGHTHAND drive wagon...
  4. No doubt you'll have some coming your way. Many thanks, Dadeeo
  5. As most of you may know I bought a '88 XT-6 on eBay and after talking to the owner I find it is in need of a front air strut. Somebody suggested replacing the air struts with coilover struts. I may do that if the cost of a air strut is prohibitive. Could you guys tell me what year(s) and model(s) have coilovers that would work on my '88? Thanks, Dadeeo
  6. That's the one... Thanks, TomRhere sent me a ton of links, looks like I need to dive in and learn what that means...
  7. This is the pic from the ad posted on ebay for the car that I bought. I've been trying to figure out what this decal on the top of the motor says. The last digit looks like a 6, being it's in a XT-6 that part makes sense. What's the rest? Sure I could wait until I picked the car up next week but curiousity killed the cat don't you know... 8. I understand John from Outback motors is a user of this board. Can anyone point me to his e-mail or have a phone number? Thanks Dadeeo
  9. All right. Talked to seller, the xt needs a front air shock. I saw a complete set on eBay last night but failed to add to Watch list, now I can't find them. Anyone else seen these???? Or know where to look? A dozen searches came up empty... Dadeeo
  10. Somebody stop Jim. :-) That would be great if I could use parts off his car or even the whole shell. Dadeeo
  11. Hi New guy here, TomRhere sent me the link to this board after I outbid him for a XT-6 on eBay. I sent a e-mail to the "loser" (Tom) more to check out if perhaps he was the seller trying to run the bidding up more than anything else. Sorry Tom. But he replied with such a nice return e-mail I almost was sorry I outbid him. Notice I said "almost", I still would rather have the car myself. I'm surprised at the large Brat following I found here, and really like the look of SubaruBrat's car. Are those fender flares designed for Brats, or are they from some other application? As for the XT-6. 1. TomRhere has first rights if I don't keep it. He was quick to make that clear. :-) 2. The car has rust (what Michigan car doesn't), are replacement panels available for older Subarus? 3. I've heard of being able to flop the ring gear in the transaxle and flipping the rear differential to make a 4X4 volkswagan with the drivetrain. Would that be a possability for a XT thats too rusty to save? Regards, Dadeeo
