  1. I friends sone has a 1991 Legacy wagon with power windows. Someone broke into his car through the drivers side rear door glass. He bought a replacement piece, I helped him install it, pretty easy actually (so it seemed) . After we got it in it's tracks, bolted it in, but it rolls up all out of whack, seems to far back to the rear of the door and the front rolls up way to high and the rear to low. I noticed when rolling the window all the way down the center of the door on the inside bulges out a little. We removed the felt pieces at the top that hold the glass against the weather strip at the top of the door. even loosed up the stops and tightend them trying to get it to roll up correctly. I cannot get the window to roll up right. I've tried everything I can see. I just can't figure out the adjustement or how to adjust it. I hope i've explained this well enough for someone to guide me on this glass replacement. HELP PLEASE
  2. What causes oil to get up in my air cleaner and all over the snorkel and hoses below? I don't have a oil leak.Any thing else besides a bad PCV valve. Carb was loose so I snugged it up and from that point on it will not idle , or it will idle very high ...Can it be a auto choke problem?....Help please!!!! Thanks a lot!!!
  3. I have a 1987 Gl Wagon 1.8 Turbo. It has an exhaust leak in the header pipe between the head and turbo. Any suggestion on where to have repaired for a decent price and good work? Would prefer not to use the chain stores. Anything around Renton or the Kent Auburn Valley or Covington, Issaquah, Maple Valley, or North Bend. By the way, I called the dealer and they wanted $500 for the part! Thanks Callaway
  4. I'd love to see it and check it out. Perhaps sometime when you go show Corky I can see it too? Nice work. Makes me feel sad about my own now...... Callaway
  5. It has 251, 000 miles on it and I always get 27. something mpg. I drive mostly highway around 70-75 mph
  6. Try RadTech Radiators in Florida. They're cheap and don't charge for shipping. There web site was down, but you can check. Their phone number is: 866-350-8324 Good Luck!
  7. In that 3rd pic, is that really an RX? or is it a GL with a wing and front air dam?
  8. On my EA82T, I HAD TO remover the timing cover. I can't imagine it taking any longer than "trying to slip out and in " the water pump. I pulled the alternator out and the A/C compressor back. The coolant tube O ring comes with the water pump. IMPORTANT: When I went to get my water pump they BOTH had mountings of the same way, I had to compare with my old one. I spent $36 on timing belts, $32 on the seal kit, (t-belt cover gaskets, cam seals, etc..) $42 on the water pump. I had NEVER worked on a Subaru before, but found it rather simple and WELL worth doing the additonal work and replacement of parts. I did it in one day, by myself. Just a NOTE: (my book did not indicate) but the cam timing mark on the passenger side goes up, the drivers side down). Sorry if I was wordy, I just did this job less than a week ago, glad I did it. Hope this helps
  9. I just replaced my water pump ($42) and that O-ring comes with it. Good Luck
  10. I'm going to tackle the timing belts on my `87 RX. I'm wondering if there are any recomendations on perhaps other things I should do/replace while I'm in there replacing the belts. THanks
  11. is there a way to check to see if the passenger side belt is broken without pulling apart?broken timing belt check
  12. I was driving my RX when it just shut off like it was out of gas. Gas was fine, pulled coil wire from cap, cranked, no spark. Got new coil, still no spark. I checked the 2 eng fuses it shows on the fuse panel, fine. I don't know what else to do or check. Help? Thanks Callaway
