Hi Miles, I noticed your from Wisconsin, I'm originally from the Milwaukee area as well, moved to Chicago 12 yrs for a job offer. I wonder if any of the Wisconsin members have either of my Brats that I owned back in the early 90's, a red 85 with tan interior, roll bar, push bar & custom tonneau cover or an Teal 82 with blue interior, roll bar, push bar & custom tonneau cover. I don't know if you remember seeing the black 82 Brat I brought back from LA last year. I've been working my way through in efforts to bring back to mint status. One thought I'm seriously considering is either a WRX or built up EJ22 motor swap married to a 5 speed. This level of mechanical skill is beyond my time and capabilities, but wonder if it's a project that either you or another member you know would be willing to take on and be able to complete within a month or two. Let me know when you have a sec & with us being so close I should find a way to meet up with you and some the other WI USMB'rs. Best, Eric
