  1. i have had mine up to 120mph and there was plenty left for more. 05 xt limited obw 5eat...just yesterday actually.
  2. if you aren't a lawyer, get one. i was involved in a car wreck in aug of 02. woman hits me as i was stopped at a red light, then she drives away. found her the next day. she had no insurance. had to sue my insurance company to collect on the uninsured motorist coverage. they settled with me last month for 65k. not nearly enough imho, but better than nothing and oh yes btw, the lawyer took 22k. still left me with 41k with which i bought a new 05 xt limited obw 5eat. no i did not pay 41k for the subie, i got a great deal of only 25k. i love this car. there is no one in this world except your mom who will look out for your rights, so get a lawyer and sue that kid back to the stone age.
  3. maybe it's full already. (prev owner didnt remove their 6 discs) justa thought as that will prevent loading of any more discs)
  4. didnt i read somewhere about putting the key in accessory mode, then buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt between 10-20 times? maybe something like that will work on the passenger side. normally, if i have no front seat passengers, i just buckle the belt and then no annoying dinging.
  5. nope. exactly the opposite in fact. 2005 xt limited obw purchased in november last year...zero defects or complaints so far. switched to mobil 1 "oil" at 3500 miles. been to vermont on a couple road trips since then. i really love this car! it's my first new car as well as my first soob. it goes fast fast fast when i want it to (please reference my avatar lol.) it is total stock and i have no plans to mod anything except a few audio upgrades ie jl cleansweep, ipod dock and satellite radio with a garmin c330 gps. this car is a total sleeper and i love it. lol i already said that. well, anyways good luck. id have to also suggest lemon law if they have that up there. yours must have been built on a friday or a monday. hopefully your stealership will make it all better.
  6. im "in the same boat" but im going to use the JL cleansweep option which i think works best for my needs. it is however a 300 dollar extra but also gives 2 other line ins in addtition to the xm. it may not be an option that suits your needs. just throwing it out there so you get other viewpoints. btw, ive had xm for 3 years so far and i think it is great.
  7. i love my 05 xt obw 5eat. just clicked 2100 miles. havent had any issues with the stock tires. cant really afford a new set of anything right now. just got the back windows tinted and finally got my thule rack set up on top. looks sharp. ill snap some pics today and post em if anyone wants to have a look. (really im looking for any excuse to post pics of my car) we dont have any snow here right now but theyve been great in the rain. we had a bit of snow and im going to vermont soon. i suppose i could consider a set of tires if i could find a decent set for 5-600 bucks. we dont really get enough snow here to warrant a set of steelie rims and blizzaks for the winter. i am open to suggestions. thanks in advance. soobs are teh aw3s0m3.
  8. i bought mine last november. just hit 2k miles on it. love it. getting the back 5 windows tinted tomorrow. you wont be sorry for getting the turbo.
  9. my buddy is a sales manager at a dealer around here where i just bought my new 2005 OB turbo wagon. the new car warranty is 3/36k miles. if you buy the 5 or 8 yr plan youre just paying for double coverage. best bet wait until 35k miles or almost 3 yrs then go in and buy whichever extended warranty you want. they said there is not a problem waiting til the original warranty is almost up before you purchase the extended. and the price goes down the longer you wait.
  10. hi all. new suby owner here. just got a 2005 OB 2.5 xt turbo wagon. my first new car ever and im 41 yrs old. was never a rich kid and im certainly not one now. love the turbo. hopefully with proper maintenance and a mobil one oil changes, it will give me plenty of reliable miles. anyway, onto my question. on my old vehicle which i traded in, i had a remote start setup which never gave me any problems. i couldnt get a straight answer from my dealer or service advisors as to whether or not it would cause a problem or void the new car warranty. so does anyone here use an aftermarket remote start on their suby? what are your experiences? which remote start do you use, if you dont use one, why not? of course it would be professionally installed. thanks for any replies and oh btw, i love this car.
