how important is the engine stabilizer rod? also, since I lifted the car I can feel some mild but high frequency vibrations when I get to 60km/h. I don't think it's the wheels. I'm still running on stock wheels. any ideas what it might be?

thanks for the information. it makes sense now

thanks for the tip. that's what I'll do. very impressive front

ye, I'm talking about the water pump fan. I think It's damaged. is it suppose to spin freely on the water pump axle?
-
I actually do have a skid plate but I took it off for the lift. I need to modify it. anyway, it wouldn't help in this case. the fan was too close to the wires since the lifting.

does anyone know how to replace the radiator fan on a ea82 94 wagon?
-
so I finished lifting it but haven't got the tyres yet. I got 6 stud 14" rims that I drilled but I just noticed that the offset is too big. with a 195/75r14 I'm rubbing the rear of the wheel well when turning. and I was going to get 205/75r14. so it looks like I'm going to order from BYB 15" new rims. they have a much smaller offset. anyway, I took the car for a ride on the beach and I got stuck. the radiator fan hit the electrical wires at the bottom of the radiator and riped them of. the fan also feels like it's a bit loose. I reconnected the wires and managed to get back home. http://subaruesh.spaces.live.com/photos/

I'm going to get some secondhand road tyres tomorrow just until I get some extra cash to buy some proper offroad tyres. anyway, most of my offroading is on the beach so road tyres I think better. I'm going to go with 205/75r14. by the way, I found the harder part of the lift is to refit the shortened lower radiator tube.

yep, all by myself and it was tough but worth it. http://subaruesh.spaces.live.com/photos/ havn't got the tyres yet some more pics to follow

after few days of straggling with my car I maneged to finish the work. I had few problems on the way but it's all over now. I managed to damage few bolt and nuts so I bought new ones and used a tap to fix the nuts. I hope it will be strong enough. pics to follow.
-
the damaged bolts are the rear suspension ones. 3 of them. I think I can make a hole under the back seat to get to the nuts. I will drill them a bit and put new ones on top.
-
thanks for the advise. i'm affraid it's a bit too late. I did one side and then when I tried the other side it would't fit. I tried to force the bolts and I damaged them and one nut as well. I bought new bolts but I need to retread the nuts (in the body) any ideas?

does anyone know about variations in the rear suspension and the diff holder between models of wagon 86-94. I just got my new lift kit and there's few blocks that I can't fit in.

shalom, גל שלום I hope you are not in the rockets range. in australia you can find these: http://www.hankooktyre.com.au/v2/products/product_detail.asp?search=suv&id=1102 and the 834 MT: http://www.kumho.com.au/

I don't know if tou guys have somthing like recycling centers in the states but in Austraila there is. you can get there almost anything for almost nothing. that's where I found my 14" rims and I paid AU$22 for the lot. (about us$16). http://subaruesh.spaces.msn.com/photos

thanks for the advises. I will probably not going to bother about engineer and just hope not to get a yellow sticker or in the worst case crush into someone.

need some advise regarding west australian regulations with lifting and wheels changing. i'm going to lift my car with the hi-rise "3 lift. I was thinking about re-drilling 6 stud rims. is that legal? what about insurence? cheers
