Does anyone have handy the NAPA part # for rear brake hoses for a EA82 Gl sedan..d/r rear drums...? I went to napa,s online parts system,but the menu was tough to get the model right No GL..thanks!

Had a rear passenger side brake line blow out from rust on my 89 GL sedan.I think im going to fix at home by putting new tubing from the "t " fitting that splits them on the drivers side,to the rear flexible hose on the passenger side..This to eliminate all the crazy bends.This is going to be a cheap fix i hope as this next NY winter will likely be its last(dam salt).What are the end fitting sizes I need to go into the splitter,and the flex hose? Are they metric?Also what size is the brakeline?

I put in a new coolant temp sensor and went from a steady 425-430 miles to a tank to 500 miles on a tank! This was done with NO other changes!

Doing a timing belt,radiator,water pump,cam seal,oil pump seal,valve cover gasket job this week. Also doing the crank seal(front)Is it easy to do(crank seal)?

Mine is shot. I went with autopartsgiant. c om..said they had it..that was 4/22/07..i just filed a chargeback on my c/c as i have no part or refund,or any answers on where it is..anyone have a source for one of these? Or have a used one? The local stores want 99.00..hoped i could get one cheaper.

Have to redo the oil pump seals,along with cam seals,waterpump,timing belts and tensioners. I need 1 mickey mouse gasket and 2 o-rings for the oil pump,and each cam tower has 2 o-rings. Also need the waterpump gasket and o-ring.Also going to toss in a front main seal. I was going to go with the partsbin .com..good choice?

Just went out and cleaned it up..still got the CE light when i started the car. Do I have to clear the codes or will they clear themselves?

I get 2 long and 1 hort led blinks..im gathering its the temp switch...rough idle at cold startup..Is the sensor a readily available part..car is an 89 GL EA82..thanks.

I have a question on the switch that locks all 4 doors on my drivers door.Are these pretty much universal? Mine is shot,along with the plug end of the harness that goes in it. I want to post an ad in the parts wanted section,but i wasnt sure if all years would work. Mine is an 89 gl 4 dr sedan..any ideas?

no im sure its the switch..if you put upwards pressure on the knob it works in all 4 speeds. if not it only works on speed 3.

Found this from another member..will it work in my 89gl without air cond.? Mine has 1-4 for speeds,this has 0-4..any ideas?

1989 Subaru GL.Thought I might get more hits here. Is there anywhere new to get a alternator plug(2 prong that goes in the alt.) and I also need a 4 speed blower motor fan switch. The switch works on all speeds,but you need to put upwards pressure on the knob to get it to work. I would take new or used on both these..any ideas? Junkyards are scarce on older subarus near me.

I also had the same problem.ended up being torn inner cv boot was slinging grease on the cat. converter.
