After I figured out what to search for i found my answer..just jack up the back and unload the tire. Worked great..thanks.

Wont shift out of 4WD to 2WD. It shifts into 4wd hi to low and vice versa, but i cant get it into 2wd for nothing..tried in reverse,1 st gear,all those . Wont budge. Any ideas?

Also I looked at a few past posts and saw a post about removing the timing belt covers for good..is that true?

After closer inspection it was the fuel pump fuse.Replaced it and fired up. We will see what happens. On another note,what is the # for the single bulb,dual element headlight bulb?

If the pass. side belt broke will the dist. still turn? Ill take a look tonight as i got to get to ework..thanks for your help.

Check the fuseable links..all good.I put a radio in last night,but all went well.Or so i thought.I put about 30 miles on it after the radio install. Is there any links under the dash?It was a pretty strong odor.

Def. electrical as i popped the dist. and watched it turn as i cranked it over. Ill check the fuses. Everything works as far as light go.Just wont fire up...thanks.

Going to work this morning..car running good. Then i thought i smelled an electrical type smell, and the car quit. Turns over but dont fire.All lights work. Could it have been the timing belt burning up. Maybey a burnt rubber smell?Also is there some fuseable links on these? Any ideas were to start looking would be great..thanks!

Just saying hi. Bought an 89 gl off ebay and I wanted to get some opinions on things to look for,trouble spots,etc. I tried adding a link to the auction but it wouldnt let me.You might have seen it on Ebay ]..from PA..guy ended it and sold it to me.
