  1. got a wiring diagram in the Haynes manual but it not matching up very well... it seems to match up with the 95+ rather then the 90's so still scratching my head on that one the A/C stuff goes everywhere! would almost be simpler to just rewire the whole car! *sighs I dunno :S
  2. Ok! I found and disconnected the Diagnostic wire and lo and behold all the clicking went away... :D ok but I still have the A/C no workie prob... any suggestions?
  3. this is true for the impact the Rad and condensor would need to be removed, also taking the starter off and shoving a screwdriver on the flywheel to hold it works
  4. ok I found a wire under the dash, that is Black with a yellow tracer, fairly large wire (compared to all the other wires under there) has a blue connecter kinda looks like a "T" but dosn't seem to make any diff if that is connected or not, didn't see anything under the hood on the firewall.. but would that be causing the A/C compressor not to come on?
  5. also a good fast and easy way to get that crank shaft bolt off is use either a air or battery powered Impact wrench it spins it right off w/o even trying to turn the engine
  6. Hello people, I've got a problem.... my legacy didn't have A/C or Cruise, so I got a 94 legacy, and swapped all the A/C and Cruise parts, everything matched up and bolted in but the only thing that didn't is my wiring harness on my 90 legacy has 3 wires that go to the compressor and the compressor off the 94 only had one yellow with green tracer, so I cut off the other two wires and connected that one yellow/green wire and it dosn't work and I have been chasing wires all morning and trying to figure this all out and it dosn't work, right now the A/C is more important then the cruise but neither of them are working... :S any suggestions?... I should also mention that when I turn the key on there are about a million relays that click on and off and the cooling fan also comes on and off and on and off even the fuel pump is clicking on and off everything seems to be clicking on and off but when I start it the clicking stops :S
  7. I am not sure if this is the right spot but i am trying to figure out if a headlight assembly from a 93 Legacy wagon will work on my 90 Legacy wagon? does anyone know?
  8. Ok Guys I am back! did 50 hours, started Sunday 3:00 PM and got off a couple hrs ago, and it is Wed night, so anyway I am headed to bed but the hunt is on again so I should be around again
  9. Thanks for the replies guys, sorry I haven't been around much, the Sub hunting kinda got put on hold for a bit here.... to much EMS stuff going on, (including Rollovers, fires, medical calls been busy almost every evening till late so no time to sub hunt *in fact I am typing this with my Fire gear on because we are getting dry lightning strikes there are already several fires around but my dept hasn't been paged yet but prob will if this storm keeps up so I'll be back here shortly and resume the sub hunt Jonathon
  10. what do you think that 97's worth with the HG and separator plate work needed? like 900-1000? and on that 96 1000-1200?

  14. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180131594372&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008 that looks tempting but I don't want a Car loan I already have one on My Ford Truck, don't need another bill I've been seeing 99 outbacks going on CL for around 3K .... so maybe if I scrap up another 500 or so I could get one of those I guess I really like that outback look always wanted one
  15. I personally can't stand the look of the impreza, so I can't see myself buying one of those but I'm keeping my eyes open for a outback... *looking for one with mechanical work so I can get it under $2000 that's my budget right now.... so I think the 00's are out of my price range unless I save for a while more
  16. Which engine should I look for? the 2.2 or the 2.5? what are the benifits and drawbacks to the two? Thanks Jonathon
  17. another... this is wierd every time I refresh the page it makes another post :-s
  18. ok guys I called him and called the meeting off tomorrow told him I wasn't going over 1100 and he said ok that's fine if I don't sell it I'll give you call so now I am looking again Thanks for all the help though! I appreciate it a lot!
  19. that's mighty low.... /me thinks he will be offended PS what's the compression supposed to be in these cars? the book says from 137-175 that's a big range!
  20. KBB Fair is $6000 Good is $6900 and Excellent is $7600 repairs he said Gieco estimated $3100 in repairs he has that estimate for me to look at tomorrow.... so.... that brings price down to $1300 - $1700 ($3100 for body damage and $1600 (his quote) for the Cats) ..... is that just redicusilly low or what? not taking into consideration the oil consumption....
  21. ok you guys sure have given me a lot to think about and check out tomorrow! Thanks! keep it commin!
