  1. ok so my buddy i got the heads off of explained to me why the pulleys are different, with that said i took them off and sure enough.. the rear is different which the sensor reads. 2.5L on the left and 2.2L on the right poor girl till waiting..
  2. no i didnt.. i used 2.5's why would it make a difference ? they are 2.5 heads..
  3. ok so i got my 2.2l back in my impreza all hooked up and running, but not very good.. cylinders 2 and 3 are not firing but has 150psi gets fuel and spark
  4. ok, now that i have gotten work done to my impreza its time to share what i have found out.. it was indeed a bad valvem the rear main was leaking as well i niw have fixed the rear main seal.. i yet have to wait for the new headgaskets Leaking Seal: New Seal: Head with Bad Valve: 2.5L Heads: yet to installed 2.5 heads i am waiting on the headgaskets to arrive.

  7. ok, well great... i guess i will find out when i get them..
  8. ok, i might get a set for $100 from a friend.. intake is different ? i know header would be and i have a stainless in the garage...
  9. ok, now i am confused, Justin from Facebook sais the heads are nowhere near identical and sais the heads will cause a powerloss.. and i'd have to use EJ22 gaskets (kinda obvious) Quote: I wouldnt.... the bore of the 22 will leave a sharp edge that will stick out into the combustion chamber and collect carbon that will eventually hotspot and cause detonation. You'll also lower the compression (not something you want to do on an engine that's gutless down low to begin with)
  10. ok cool and i would still have the same power ? or more ?
  11. what model and year has phase 2 ? the impreza rs 2.5L ?
  12. well if i change the head i'd like to do both and make her a dual port, is their dual port heads i can install on my EJ222 ?
  13. after testing and checking timing, i am convinced its the valve.. put air into cylinder 1 and the air came out the exhaust just as fast as it went in.. so i need valves, another question is the EJ222 a 16 valve ? i need 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves ?
  14. Hey Guys & Gals i recently got a 2001 impreza L Wagon AWD.2.2L Automatic 316,065 miles when bought, she has an issue running, cylinder 1 doesnt fire, previous owner said he bought it that way and has driven it for a year. i paid $250 for it and inspected till december, i would like to get her running properly father thinks its a burnt or bent valve.. because i get 30 psi 60 at best cylinder 3 gets 150psi runs on the same cam.. i was also told timing could do this as well, just a few teeth off can cause it.. what do you guys think ? EDIT:
  15. i want to install bigger rimson my loyale, but i do not want to go with a heavy rim.. 16"s or 17"s how wide can i go for a lightweight rim ? 6x5.5 lug
