I have a 91 loyale wagon non turbo. And for some reason the coil/ingnition fuse keeps blowing. I put in a new fuse and can drive for a mile then it will blow again, i have no idea what to do, Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks alot, Jason

i guess i need to invest in a boost gauge. I will let you know how things turn out.

I came up with no luck on how to fix it besides the ATF trick. But my noise started as soon as i got my motor back together so it must be some thing i did. Any suggestions on what i should do to fix this. Thanks Jason

ok well i reconnected all of the vacuum lines. I had a few not plugged in. I went for another test drive and it still does the same thing but the intake piece does not blow off any more because i tightened real good. Once i hit 3k rpm now the car just takes off, it is fast and i know that something is not right. Thanks Jason:banana:

Where exactly does that vacuum line from the wastegate go too, im trying to figure that out.

I tightened it up real good and it works now but it seems like my turbo is putting out way to much boost. Because i have never seen a soob go this fast before. Thanks Jason

I have a 87 gl with a ea82 turbo under the hood and when i get to about 3 grand the turbo really kicks in and goes for a second and then my intake thing that says "4wd turbo" the silver thing blows off above the throttle body. Then my car shuts down and i have to put it back on and this process repeats if i hit over 3k RPMs. Anything you guys think of that would cause this to do this. Thanks alot Jason

I just finished putting back together my 87 ea82t and when i start it it runs fine but the passenger valve lifters are making quite a bit of noise. Wll they stop by them selves or do i need to do anything that a might of did wrong when i put the motor back together. Thanks Jason

I know someone that is towing 2 snow mobiles with his 87 gl ea82. Its about 1500 pounds. Is that too much weight for a soob. The hitch he has has 4 bolts that go into the bumper and 4 that go into the bottom of the cargo area in the trunk. Just curious if that is a good idea or if its fine. Thanks Jason

My heads off my ea82 turbo are both cracked between the valves and exhaust ports. Can i get the cracks in the exhaust ports welded up and not worry about the other cracks. Who would be able to weld those. Thanks Jason

look for a gl wagon (85-89). Most of these gl wagons have the dual range tranny that you can switch from 2wd to 4wd high and 4wd low. They are out there.

The CTS is located under the thermostat. Is it a plug in or what.

I have a 88 gl ea82 non turbo fuel injected. and when i start it up cold it idles at about 3 grand for a long time. it will idle that high until i get to a stop light thats about 5 miles away from my home. Then it will idle just fine but it just takes to long to idle right. Also if i put a radiater in from a 90 loyale automatic will that help my cooling. Does the loyale have a 2 row radiater. And mine is a one row. Thanks Jason

i am just curious what the difference between a non turbo head and a turbo head. will a not turbo head work on a turbo. just wondering. Thanks Jason

thanks for your help i will use fel pro's. What should i torque them too. And what any other advice on what to replace or reseal while my motor is out. Also what is the gasket called that is in between the head and the cam. I can't find where to get those at, im pretty sure they are not the valve cover gasket. I can find those all over websites. When i had this turbo on my car that i sold you it did not have any noise what so ever when it spooled up. I have a car now that sounds like it has the same problems yours is having.

I am ordering new HG for my ea82 turbo and does the HG have to be for a turbo car or will a non turbo one work. Are all 1.8L motors have the same HG. Thanks, Jason

My car was not under load i was just cruising. Thanks for you guys input, I am done with these subarus. I am 17 and every weekend i am constantly working on them, i need to go and do kid stuff, there is never an end to all of my breakdowns.

my motor in my 87 gl ea82t seized today. I did an oil change the other day and the oil pressure wire somehow got stuck in the threads for my oil filter and all the oil leaked out there. Not sure what to do. What do i need to all rebuild it. Thanks, Jason
