  6. Just picked up a 91 Legacy AWD that has 3 different brand of tires and looking for where the fuse is-goes?? Thanks Jeff
  7. Silly question, how long should a clutch last on a outback? Reason I'm asking is thinking of buying a 96 with only 80,000 miles and they are saying they just replaced the clutch and am wondering if the mileage is BS... Thanks, Jeff
  8. I am considering driving three hours to look at a 96 Outback. Can anybody run a carfax for me before I take the drive? Much thanks.
  9. There are simply less 80's cars around PERIOD...lots of reasons usually a $500-$800 repair isn't worth it to the typical beater driver so they bail. where as we as enthustists are interested in a Subuaru for what they are..I'd love to find a EA82 wagon with low miles but they just aren't around like they used to be only a couple of years ago, unless you want a automatic and the hassle of changing that...Jeff
  10. GD would have jumped on yours when the notice first came up had it been a manual tranny. Thanks, Jeff
  11. Thinking of getting a used Outback for the Mrs. and wondering if anybody knows of a mechanic that checks out cars in or near Eugene. Thanks Jeff
  12. thanks for the info. Car turned out to be a Rat but gave it a drive round anyway just because I'd never driven a ej22 powered car only ea82's and mostly clapped out ones. Really liked the extra power and will be getting one when the right one appears. Jeff
  13. I'm checking out a 91 AWD 5 speed wagon tonight and wondering if there is anything I should pay extra attention to?? Thanks, Jeff
  14. Thanks for the replies. Haven't made up my mind yet on what course to take... Cheers Jeff
  15. Anyone gone this route. Good or Bad, pitfalls? Complete crap shoot? Thanks Jeff
  16. Thanks for that advise, it really does make sense I just have to get over the idea of spending $2000 for a car rather then $1000:) cheers Jeff
