  1. Hi gang, I am beginning to feel some clutch slippage in my 95 Legacy w/165k - it had a clutch done at 60k - my Q: is, what is a fair ballpark price at a non-dealer shop? THX
  2. I have cleared the P0115 code twice, and it comes back within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle. I will probably just replace it when I get a chance, anyone know the part# - for 1995 2.2 ?
  3. Because..? As long as the dash Temp gauge works, that one is unneccessary
  4. Can I just remove the plug and bypass the sensor to keep the check engine light from coming on..?
  5. Thanks! Are you sure that's a 19mm? seemed smaller from a distance...
  6. Hate to bump an old thread, but better than starting a redundant new one -~~ my EJ22 OBDII keeps throwing a P0115 and everything appears fine, I suspect a faulty sensor - I just scoped where the temp sensor is, it is in a tough spot - any advice on replacing this, or should I just live with it..?
  7. Turns out I had a broken belt in one of the tires - another pair of tires on the front cured it!
  8. I will have to check some of this stuff when I drive home today and get back to y'all - I have a set of snows of separate rims, I could always throw a pair on the front and go for a ride, this would test the "tire" theory
  9. hmm - the rotors were replaced in January! I have to get the wheel off and have a good look - rain tonight, probably have a look tomorrow night - I commute on the motorcycle tomorrow weather permitting anyways..
  10. Within what range of speeds does the problem show? -10mph-60mph but most apparent 15-30mph How many miles are on the car? -155k Has it been in an accident? -No Is there any noticable play in the steering wheel? -Not really, but I will check that later You said it "doesn't pull to either side", but does the "wobble" require any steering correction? -No Does gentle (or firm) braking change the character of the wobble? -I don't think so, but I will check that later
  11. Hi USMB'ers - my 95 Legacy wagon has some weird slow-speed wobble, you can feel in the steering wheel. It doesn't pull to either side, but it is quite noticable. It smooths out somewhat at speed - I rotated the tires and it still does it - I don't suspect balancing, cuz it was done not all that long ago, and balancing issues usually show at 50mph or so in my experience. I plan to pull the front wheels again soon and have a look. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to check when I am down there? Thanks!
  12. Hi gang - my 95 2.2 check engine light went on - checked codes, a P0101 (Mass air flow sensor circuit range/performance problem (high input)) combined with a P0120(P0120 Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Malfunction ) -reset them, all is good for the moment - no performance issues or trouble are apparent. Hmmm - anyone experience this? THX:)
  13. I have a 1995 Legacy, is this OBD2 ? Where would I find the tool to read a 1995, and where does it plug in? Thanks in advance
  14. (Accidently posted this first in the OLDER section:cool: )Hi all, happy holiday - while heading back to the city from a holiday weekend trip, the check engine light came on. I stopped in a rest area, checked everything out visually, it seems to be running OK - is it easy to check the ECU codes? ( I saw the thread about it already http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/...ad.php?t=49918 ) Does anyone know if AutoZone does a loaner tool for this? Any suggestions/advice always appreciated! 95 Legacy 2.2 5-speed
  15. EDIT: Accidently posted in the OLDER section -it is in the NEWER section now - plz delete - Thanks! 16. Hi all - I have a set of snows on 14" Suby steel rims from my 95 Legacy that I am gonna sell - anyone know a way to find out what other vehicles these rims would fit? THX in advance
  17. All done, buttoned up and and test-drove - excellent:banana: - thanks for all the advice everyone!
  18. OK I'm in the middle of this - my Haynes mentions "shims", but it does not appear to have any shims on these pads - ?? Anyone? THX
  19. Yep, it swung up - metal on metal, sho nuff. Just bought the pads/rotors at AutoZone, got their loaner tool for the caliper pistons. going for it tomorrow morning - thanks everyone for the advice, I will hopefully be posting about my success afterwards!
  20. Hi gang - while removing my snows and putting my summer tires back on last night, I noticed the rear rotors are rusted and disintegrating, and one of them has been making a scrapin noise - the front rotors/pads were replaced by my shop over the winter. I can get the parts for about 1/3 or less than the price my shop charges me, so I think I may give it a whirl myself. I have replaced the pads on my motorcycle so I am not a total stranger with brakes, but never did disc brakes on a car (did drum brakes when I was younger many times.) So when I had the wheel off, I got out my trusty Haynes Subaru manual to assist my inspection. The first step is to "remove the lower caliper lock pin and swing the caliper up to access the brake pads" -Well I removed the lock pin and it wouldn't swing up - I put a lil pressure, still no go - I didn't want to break anything and couldn't afford to get knee deep in this project on a dark cold night, the lil voice in my head said to put the pin back in , put it back together, finish the tire changover and call it a night till I know more what I am doing. This couldn't be that tough a job, huh? - Any advice appreciated!
  21. Happy Holidaze USMB'ers - Listen I used to have a "bookmark" to an excellent Subaru recycler/junkyard in CT - but I had to rebuild my computer and I lost all my bookmarks/favorites - does anyone have the name/address/URL for this place, I can't remember the name but think it had 2 letters (S&R or something like that?) Thanks!
