does your dump valve recirculate the dumped air back into the intake pre turbo or to air,if to air that could be your problem as the ECU has already measured this air and has included fuel for it but as it is not going into the engine the engine is over fueling and the fuel is burning of once it hits hot exhaust and there is your back fire

Keltic it just came to me as I was working on my Landcruiser I know where there is a complete(well almost) XT sitting in a wreckers if ya wanna know just ask and I will tell

will need a good pic of yours or even better a good look at them as I have the rear struts from '86-89 leones aplenty and man is there some variation some short some long and some just silly( I also have a set of illegal cut ones for lowering)

I live in the central North island so it wont be that much to send it i may go and spray some anti seize on it today just in case.I have suspension parts as well that dont belong in either of my project Leones

Keltik if you have any problems with that nut or sensor I have about 5 EA82t engines if you need parts as well as a few gearboxes rear diffs and so on and so forth
