  17. i have an 1985 GL hatchback i purchased recently it has 137,0000 miles 1.8 Overhead valve engine 4WD dual range 4-speed now so far i am happy with the car but as i climb hills getting ready to shift into the next gear, or maybe staying in that gear at 3000-3500 rpm i have a loss of power??? it bucks like riding a bull (sorry but i dont know how to explain) it feels as if its at a loss of gas or air, or maybe the carb plate is closing and opening. the problem goes away by releasing the accel a little for the most part it is avoidable i can feel when its going to happen and i just slow down, or build up speed to overtake the hill any help would be appreciated
