  1. We'll see but I am already further down the rabbit hole than I ever was on my EA.
  2. hmmmmm.... maybe after I finish the FJ80....
  3. you won't be disappointed, this was the single best improvement I made to my wagon(kinda wish I hadn't sold it) it made it a completely different car.
  4. That looks more like a "not allowed within 1000 feet of a school" car...
  5. You will also need at least the forward section of the drive line if the car is 4wd. Edit already covered by Russ.
  6. Well, the wagon has found a new home today and will be living in Colorado. this build thread will be passed off too machthree2, Have fun! I hope to see it progress and what he does to it.
  7. X2 for Snohomish welding and muffler, they did a cat back for my ej swapped wagon it looks and sounds great!
  8. the plan for the cruiser is to get it road worthy again (it was in a rear end accident with a small amount of damage to the front end) probably some OME 2.5" or stock replacement springs Med rear and heavy front. get rid of the awful wheels that came on it (LesSchwab specials) and replace them wit FJ Cruiser wheels, clean up the interior, stereo, tint windows, roof basket, lights, front bumper, rear bumper, etc. I was aware of the fuel mileage, not going to be a daily driver just a camping/snow vehicle that is more capable than the wagon is. have anything left over from yours?
  9. Have not sold it yet, but I did just get a 91 fj80! so the wagon is supposed to go as soon as it is fit to sell. I am already having reservations about selling it and I haven't officially put it up for sale! the Cruiser was way to good of a deal to pass up.
  10. I had this situation when I did my timing belts on my wagon before the engine swap but I had a new replacement pump already. so the offending part was discarded.
  11. LOL! Rob, thanks but no thanks. trying to reduce the fleet... I will know for sure this weekend if it's for sale. I've been down the VW rabbit hole before I'd prefer to stay out of it if I can. No trades, thank you.
  12. Well, putting out the feelers. might be putting this up for sale in the near future. I haven't figured a dollar amount yet. PM if interested
  13. having the cup holder on the top would keep the wires from getting caught in the cup holder, just be careful about full open top cups and cans spilling into your new radio. I say go for it, Make sure and take some pics, the thing that annoys me the most about my wagon is no cup holder, Would be a nice on to do a write up on.
  14. I meant hitting your cup holder or drink with your fist or gear knob while shifting in to first, third or fifth.
