  1. Galen, you just posted that to make your post counts go up...kekeke j/k
  2. okay today I took my car up to Carfreak85 to take a look at my carb and he said it is 2 barrel hitachi. I'm planning to do carb modification with piece of cloth hanger until I get the weber. Thanks Dan
  3. Intake maniford is the big metal piece that holds the carb and the thermostat including thermostat housing that bolts on top of the engine right? Thanks Dan
  4. I'm still looking. Today when I was taking good look at the bed once again, I found more holes. They are small right now but seems to have potential to be huge ones Thanks Dan
  5. Wait a minute...I confused too. So I have 1 Barrel hitachi and the weber I'm trying to get is for 2 barrel, so even if I buy it, it won't fit? Dan Thanks
  6. First of all, I'm not bugging him. He is the one who asked me what was the size of the bolt pattern. Secondly, I already asked carfreak85 about this, and he told me he's not sure. He also told me the best way to find out about the size of the bolt pattern is to ask board member. Thanks Dan
  7. He's the one who is making adapter for me, and he wanted to make sure that my bolt pattern on the carb base is a 36x71mm. Thanks Dan
  8. Still looking for someone who might have the metal piece.
  9. Is the bolt pattern on the carb base a 36x71mm then? Thanks Dan
  10. I don't worry about him making one that won't fit. I just want to know the pros and cons of the webers, plus size of bolt pattern(in numbers please)Thanks Dan
  11. Yes, that is correct. Soon as someone on the board tells me the "size" of the bolt pattern(I want numbers, like 36mm or something like that) then I can have the person selling the weber make an adapter for me. I just have to decide wheter to get DGAV or DGEV. Thank you for your advices so far. Dan
  12. what is the size of bolt pattern on the carb base then? Pros and cons of the webers?
  13. Hi board, I'm planning to buy a 32/36 weber, but I was wodering which weber would be better for my 82 Brat. I would like to know the pros and cons of both DGEV and DGAV. Plus I would like to know the bolt pattern on the carb base. Thanks Dan
  14. The part I need to fix is on the bed, so I can't put carpet on top of it. Although I could just put piece of metal to fix the hole because I'm planning to put jumpseats. And it will probably cover that hole whether the metal piece has same pattern as others or not.
  15. Does anyone have wrecked Brat or Brat as parts car who would like to donate or sell the piece I need? Thanks
  16. Thanks so much for your comments. What I was thinking, cut the dangling metal pieces out, the treat the rusted metal with por 15, from on top and bottom of the bed. Then dent in slightly the part around the hole, and cut out piece of metal to just cover the hole. Either weld it or rivet it. When the new metal piece is leveled with other part of the bed, find wrecked brat from PAP, or hopefully board member will provide me:lol: cut out big piece, like the part I circled in the picture, then either weld it or rivet it. Also weld another metal piece from bottom of the bed. Thanks Dan
  17. Hi, I need help / advice fixing this hole on my brat. My Brat was parked facing downhill for several years(By pre-owner of course, I will never do that!). Well now there is a huge hole on the bed, and I need help fixing it. I would like to fix this hole before it gets any bigger. Here are the pictures. Thanks Dan
  18. oh yeah. The hole...it is getting bigger and bigger everyday...The pre-owner told me that the car was parked facing downhill, so everytime it rained, all the water went to the part where there is a hole...Probably sat on the tires for years, that is why I have under 100k mileage. Thanks Dan
  19. I'm not sure what you meant by ThanksDam
  20. would it be better to weld it or rivet it? Which one would hold better if I'm planning to put jumpseats later? Thanks Dan
  21. If you do pick it up, would you be needing that portion of the brat or could you give it to me? Thanks
  22. hi GD, this is Dan. Here are the pictures taken from top.
  23. oh oh oh, I remember there was one time when big white smoke came out. It was during the autocross. Everytime I took sharp turn with high speed, white smoke came out...But since then I haven't seen the "moby wongleflute"
