  1. Yay! How far do you live away from Bellevue?? Thanks Dan
  2. Hi everyone. I have a Brat which needs to be park some where other than my house for about 3 months. My parents are moving into new house and it only has two door garage with small drive way and we currently have four cars including the Brat. Last time I park my Brat on a neighbour street in front of my house, it was ticketed three time while I was in Michigan. I live in Michigan because of college so my parents would like to see the Brat gone(I guess it gave them too much of stress... ) Since Brat was my car ever, it is really hard to detach from it and I would like to keep it as long as I can. I'm planning to drive the Brat back to Michigan when the weather gets better(probably during spring break) and I would like to find a place where I can store the car...for cheap....(sorry I'm so broke...after all I'm only a college student) I do know there are many places where I can store the car inside of storage but I can't afford it at this time. If I can't find a place for my Brat until this Thursday night, my parents are getting rid of it.....Please help a fellow member keep his favorite subie. Thank you very much for reading this post. Thank you so much in advance . Dan
  3. It was probably a SteelyDel brushguard. Got any pics?
  4. I'm not sure who told me or when, but I heard that those remote starters aren't so good for a car?? Is that true? My dad is trying to get one for his new car but wants to make sure that is not true. Thanks
  5. The title says everything. I was wondering if the center console from 98 OBW is replaceable with one from 00-03 Thanks Dan
  6. I don't know if the first solution will work or will not work, but I definitely know second solution won't work. Because a lot of security systems detect any impact on the car (i.e. closing a door) as well as any movement of the car whille it is armed. Dan
  7. This is what exactly happened to me when I bought 98 outback. My solution was to buy a remote control from ebay...until then, I would unlock the door, and soon as alarm goes on, jump into the car, put the key into "on" then press the black button to disarm it...I was looking for ways to disconnect the alarm but couldn't find a way. Try this link, its helpful. http://www.cars101.com/subaru/keyless.html#code%20alarm Dan
  8. The title says everything. I was wondering if there is a way or ways to increase low end torque for my 98 legacy outback. Preferrably something other than kits...They cost too much. Thanks in advance Dan
  9. I was just surfing on the ebay motors website, and found this. I was wondering if this would actually work; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33598&item=7935308780&rd=1
  10. It's been awhille( I better do it soon) since I decided to replace my front axles and wheel bearings in my 98 obw myself. I looked around the market for right price and found some great prices - $50 per axles (returing the core) at http://cvaxles.com/. Of course this is remanufactured of aftermarket... $90 for new aftermarket axle. And $200 for one from local subaru dealer. They all come with lifetime warranty and my question is how safe or unsafe is to use re-manufactured aftermarket or new aftermarket compare to oem ones. Problem with axles during a drive could lead to lethal situation, and I would like to avoid that more than anything. I would like to hear from board members before I make a decision on whether to buy the aftermarket or oem ones. By the way I'm buying wheel bearings from the dealer. Thanks Dan
  11. Thanks! Looks like the the company doesn't carry axles for my car(98 outback)...But I still requested for a quote.. Dan
  12. Nice pictures, especially I like the seond one.
  13. Thanks so much for that website! Now, what do I need besides the bearing and its seal for the bearig job? And for axle job, what else do I need other than axle? Any tip or things I should look out for? Thanks Dan
