  1. It's just angle iron, and some steel channeling. With pipe clamps, and hooks welded to it It's 36" x 30"
  2. It would be cool to do this, but then weld the diff. But then would a welded rear diff. mess up the 4wd if you wanted to go back to normal (as in put the front shaft back in)?
  3. here's mine: and here's how it mounts to my yakima rack: cost me zero, and took about 2 hours to cut, weld, and paint.
  4. I made one today, out of some steel I had laying around. It's pretty heavy (~60 lbs) but I think it'll look, and work well.
  5. wow! that is really really cool, very creative. any pictures of how you mounted it to the rack?
  6. and for those of you that have a fairing, what size do you use? I'm thinking about a 32"
  7. There are some pretty cool roof systems out there, I'd like to see them. I'd like to get some inspiration. I searched, and found roof rack threads, but no pictures.
  8. oops, it's a 94 loyale
  9. My rear washer sprayer isn't spraying anymore, is there a rear reservoir, or something that causes these to malfunction?
  10. Thanks for the info! We have another EA82 out of the car that we're re-sealing and going to swap in. We're gathering all the parts right now. On monday I'll be getting the rest of the parts from the dealership.
  11. I've never heard of this before. I have a bently manual for my mk3 and it is very explanatory, and was also very expensive. Where can one of these be bought?
  12. I own a chilton's manual, and it is not very explanatory. I am aware of the search function, and use it before I post. Maybe you can search and try to find it, because I couldn't.
  13. Just the page on doing headgaskets. From an EA82 (94 loyale). I'm aware of the process, I'm just looking for the page from any manual.
  14. I'll have him try that. On another note: Maybe we can get a mod. to edit this thread, and I'll make the official EA82 headgasket/DIY out of it. I'll make up a parts list for the headgasket, and a "what to get" (brand wise). and I'll get my dad to send over some pictures in the process, and maybe we can help some others out in the future. What parts do you recommend for the re-seal?
  15. Do I want to go oem or fel-pro for the valve cover gasket?
  16. I think I'm going with the fel-pro complete headgasket kit, then but the oem cam-tower rings from the dealership.
  17. Awesome. I'm having some trouble finding a radiator fan motor (the electric one), I thought it was called the blower motor. It seems most parts places can't even get it.
  18. My dad was telling me that this one looks like it may be carb'd? And my loyale looks to be throttle body fuel injected (I'm not sure, just asking)? Just looking for some clarification.
  19. That's the ea82 we got. The fuel system looks to be a little different then mine. But can't I just swap all the EFI stuff off my blown ea82 on to this one? Although the fueling looks a little different, I imagine the heads/block are the same. Being as it is a ea82
  20. Thanks a lot for the information. Ill probably end up getting a water pump, and timing kits locally, so I don't have to wait.
  21. Okay thanks. My dad has built many big/small blocks, so I'm sure he can figure it out. Any other parts I should get? What to you mean by not being able to hurt anything if the timing belts are installed incorrectly? I assume that doesn't include the timing. And for a re-seal, what seals do you recommend (and gaskets too)? and where can they be bought? For the headgaskets, Is there a kit I should buy, or just the fel-pro gaskets? We got another motor, for cheap with low miles in great condition, and while it's out he's going to do the headgaskets and a re-seal.
  22. Someone said there was a headgasket DIY around here? I searched and couldn't find it.
