Pilot Bearing dimensions
After seeing that list, I realized I still had a flywheel from my Impreza laying around. I tested it out, the 32mm is just a touch too small for some reason :-\ It just slides right through! Is there a "plus" sized bearing by any chance? I can't find anything listed at 33mm, and 33 might even be too large.

Pilot Bearing dimensions
I'm looking for a pilot bearing with the dimensions of 33 OD, 12 ID for my FF-1 project. From what I've been reading, the 80's models used the bearings and not the internal crank "bushings" and I want one of the 80's style bearings for my EA63 flywheel. Does anyone have one handy to see what the dimensions are?

Right now I'm looking into just getting some sort of flywheel based pilot bearing, size 33mm OD, 12mm ID. If anyone can find one, let me know...

Thats the flywheel installed. The crank goes about 1/2 way into the flywheel. Do you think I could still put a pilot bearing on there? The clutch disc isn't even close to it, so there is like a half inch of room or more between the disc and the flywheel bolts.

Wait a second, I don't think the pilot bearing will work... Look how the flywheel mounting location is "recessed" compared to the end of the crank. Just took these photos testing out the other bellhousing... If that pilot bearing idea doesn't work, I have to have a different flywheel (EA62) and modify the bellhousing to match...

Just saw this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69663 Will an EA71 pilot bearing fit this 1400 flywheel???

Wait, you mean something like this??? Did other model years have that kind of pilot bearing???

You can somewhat see the pilot bearing in this photo: Here was the bellhousing issue I mentioned before: And the flywheel issues: Basically, if this is as serious of an issue as you guys say... I'm done.

I'm not sure what you are saying. Are you saying the EA81 doesn't fit in as an example, or that it should fit in because it keeps the clutch disc from wobbling?

Question: Is it a problem that the tip of the transmission main shaft doesn't go into the crankshaft?

The headers are just the original ones I cut in half (because for some reason the 1100 heads are narrower than the 1300's) so I could put something on the car in case I want to start it before I have an exhaust built. Basically they are temporary so don't worry bout it

Emergency!!! I need a set of the 1400 Flywheel double washer thingies for locking down the flywheel! The 1100 ones don't match up, nor do the other 1600 ones I have! I need them ASAP if anyone has a set! (4, one is slightly longer than the other 3)

Help ID-ing these Heads
EA63 4-port heads (IE 1400, IE 1.4L) Wish you would have posted these a month ago, I would have bought them... I just spent a chunk of change on a valve job for the ones I have!

I have all the FSM's. The "overflow limiter" is on the later cars instead of the little valve thing that is on the FF-1, which I obviously can't replicate properly. But with one of the limiters from the later cars, I can duplicate the system from those cars and it should work fine. I think its just a two way valve. If I can figure out exactly what it is, maybe I can get something similar from Napa/Kragen/etc.?

Does anyone have a spare "overflow limiter" from a later model Subaru? Its a tiny thing next in line to the little evap tank in the fuel system evap.
