  1. IMHO, We need the WRX's:banana: on the interstates for pursuit/:burnout: intercept vehicles. The impalas, crown vics and the magnums:eek: can catch up later to take the baddies away.
  2. 1. not a newbie, but new to this forum. 2. first soob was a '84 DL wagon, back in '90 while stationed at Loring AFB,ME:), took it offroading everwhere including thru Maine snow storms couldnt stop it, until it getting 2 foot deep ..., It was a great car, even had the clearance for the K9 kennel in back... It was totaled in '93 rear ended in Utah, right after the (I never knew a camshaft could snap like that)engine was rebuilt. .... 3. Bought my second soob, a '79 brat about 6-7 years ago:slobber:, It looked good, drove it a to and from SD during that summer(about 30mpg).. had some electrical issues, and repaired them. Was going to use it as a daily driver through the Nebraska winter snowstorms.. wanted to redo the inside, get rid of the smelly carpet, etc... discovered a lot of floorpan needs mending, alot. Sitting down a bit un-nerving as one can see the ground from front, side and behind the seat. So its been sitting for the past few years, havent had the time to do any substantial work on it because being deployed overseas didnt help. dont want to part with it or part it out, would like to get it road worthy again. gotta love those brats. any suggestions to fix? Now for the rest of the story. 3. Discovered a '86 GL HB last fall and watched it over the winter to see if was in use, well, it never moved and my wife suggested that i inquire. discoverd the owner parked it for two reasons, he went off roading 1 too many:eek: times and removed the exhaust system, the hard way...two) has a growing family and couldnt devote time to it anymore and needed a larger vehicle. I bought it, probably paid too much. IT has issues, -- NO BRAKES. section rusted out and leaks under left rear seat. QUESTION- what / how/ where can i find /replace the line? the junction is also rusted away. it was fun to drive it home the 5 miles w/o them. -- gas line leaks, couldnt find replacement line, so using brake line, that should work -- repaired exhaust, 3 sections of flex pipe, straight section and a glaspack. -- engine is running rich, was idling at ~1800, got it down to ~1000, any lower and it wants to stop running. ( suggestions?) -- next question, need to replace the drivers seat, one of the previous owners broke the springs in it. what models are compatible with it?? -- need hood release cable. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. email: kasnospam at yahoo

(Ctrl C next time Ken!) 1. 5-6 year owner of '79 brat. 2. recently, new owner of '86 GL HB. has issues. RUST is a given. - NO Brakes, How or with what do i replace the rusted brake line under the left side rear seat? - Gas line leak, no probem there, its only a bit of steel line near the filter. - Exhaust problem is almost done. installed glasspack and 8ft of tubing. - OEM carb running rich, was idling ~1800, got it down to ~1000, any lower and engine want to stop running. 3.
