88 GL D/R Wagon - Another EJ Swap
Its been a while since I've said what-up, so I figured I'd show off the new kicks, and say hello! 14" BF AT's will hopefully make for a good summer outdoors!

Poorly Running '90 EJ22
Trevor replied to Trevor's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWell............ Not sure if replacing a torn CV fixed it. Maybe it just wanted to do some offroading, cause I did plenty of that this weekend. Could have just been the HEET with Injector cleaner too Either way its running well again and I am happy. Replaced the O2 sensor just for good measure too. Thanks for the replies! Looks to have been related to dirty injectors or water in the fuel.

Trevor replied to Trevor's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGot some HEET with injector cleaner in there. We shall see if that makes a difference. Any other suggestions in the meantime?

ej swap with ac
I had room for the fans and condenser on my EA82 EJ swap. I used 12" ebay fans. Clearance is a little tight but there is room. Connecting the compressor might be tricky.

Poorly Running '90 EJ22
Trevor replied to Trevor's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXForgot to mention I did do seafoam, but maybe I'll do some HEAT in there for this tank. Changed out the MAF. Same results.

Poorly Running '90 EJ22
So the other day my EJ swap into my wagon started running poorly. I may have gotten on it a little hard, but never exceeded 5k RPM. It idles and starts just fine but hesitates under throttle and is lacking power when cold or warm. There may have been some crud in the gas tank but the issue was not gradually happening, it started right away. Heres what I have tried thus far: Filled the tank - was low Replaced fuel filter Upgraded to XT6 fuel pump Checked for vacuum leaks Installed CEL - Not on Replaced plugs and wires Blew out fuel lines with compressed air Anyone have any ideas? I was planning on checking cam timing next. I do not even know where to start with sensors or how to check them without just replacing. O2, TPS, CTS MAF? Thanks in advance!

Painted my wheels last night, got me some plates and insurance, vacuumed, washed glass, and drove to work today for the first time.

88 GL D/R Wagon - Another EJ Swap
Project has been on hold for a while. But I have made a ton of progress in the last week. Did not want wiring hanging above my feet on this build so I put my ECU in a box in the spare tire well. I picked the components up at lowes for about $30. It should keep water out. Everything is good to go except radiator fans, which are "Out for Delivery" according to UPS Can't wait to do some off roading!!

Made some progress here. It has taken a while, but I found a really clean 91 Loyale with a dead motor and sourced all the parts to repair my EJ. Motor in the bay with the dual range and the lift is in.

88 GL D/R Wagon - Another EJ Swap
Wheels are from a Mazda B2200 with 195-75/14s. I did have to remove material from the hubs to get them on because the center hole was too small. Still climbs great in low range. Took it camping lastnight. Could not have been happier with it.

88 GL D/R Wagon - Another EJ Swap
So my lift will be here tomorrow. This might be a good time to swap out my tired 260k D/R 5spd. Someone is trying to sell me a blown up RX with the AWD and difflock. Opinions? If so, what should I pay for it?
