98 Forester. Wheel spacers?
curtisbad replied to Fozester's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXi've never had any problems with my spacers and i do a good bit of "wheeling" with it. as long as they're made properly and installed properly i don't see any drawbacks to wheel spacers. curtis

98 Forester. Wheel spacers?
curtisbad replied to Fozester's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXHUH? yeah, a wheel spacer between the hub and the wheel will push the tires away from the spring perch. also, using an offset wheel will do the same thing. i have wheel spacers on my car, and they do in fact create a larger gap. curtis

96 Outback - Questions about lifting & tires
i have a 4" lifted 97 obw. i made wheel spacers/adapters to get my tires out from underneath the spring seats and am currently running 31" tires with some trimming required. so,it is possible to go larger than the 235/75's, not without spacing the tires however. curtis

Airbag light????
curtisbad replied to 97preza's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyeah, my guess would be the clock spring broke. was there a clicking noise from the steering wheel when you would turn prior to the light coming and staying on? does the cruise control still work? if i remember correctly it won't work either with a broken clock spring. curtis

Moving to Beaufort NC area.
i'm in florence sc. not too far from Beaufort. there aren't many Subaru's around here. they're actually kind of rare. you have to head north to the mountains in nc to see alot of them. i see maybe 5 or 6 here locally in florence. there's a few in darlington. hopefully they'll be a few more in beaufort. it's darn near impossible to get junk yard parts , and none of the part stores carry Subaru parts, they have to order about everything from the "warehouse" or get it from another store.......it's complicated sometimes. curtis
