  1. Unless you got AU transmission somehow... I believe they had 4.11 gear ratio D/R 5spd in AU.
  2. I have fuel pressure and I have spark but no I have not tried turning the distributor while cranking. I'm really thinking its a sensor of some sort but I have no idea what sensor would completely stop it from even trying to start.
  3. I have checked and double checked all the timing. It isn't perfect, no way can I get it perfect without the engine running, but it's close enough that it should fire.
  4. Yep all fuses and fuse links are good. It cranks great just not firing up.
  5. Ok so I bought an 87 RX as is not running, I was nearly positive the reason it wasn't running was ignition timing. So... I have re-timed everything to correct timing, I have fuel, I have spark, and I have great compression. It still won't run or even try to start. At this point I don't have a clue... I have tried everything I can imagine with no success. Can anyone offer some ideas of possible issues that be the culprit or culprits to my problem?
  6. The FPR not the injectors. Pressure might be leaking past the regulator causing to high of pressures
  7. Fuel lines are correct and thinking now it has to be the regulator. If its dribbling excess pressure by to the injectors that would explain why it starts and runs fine after it has been sitting and the pressure is down to a lower amount. When enough pressure gets built up it floods itself out and dies. Seems reasonable enough to me but I guess I will see Wednesday when napa gets my parts in
  8. Well I will check the fuel pressure and those grounds first. Hush a broken ground wire really did that?? I hope it is a simple fix like that but I don't recall mine being broken. However when I did pop my fuel line off the filter to make sure I was getting today it fired up and ran normal for about 2 minutes then same problem... Any thoughts on that guys??
  9. I got a new MAF and a fuel preasure regulator on order, so hope replacing those two will get it back to running.
  10. Ok I will try both suggestions when I can make it back to the car... If I can't find any air leaks and the cleaning the MAF doesn't work how hard is it to find a new one??? This damn fuel injection stuff throws me for a loop lol it was so much easier to just throw on a weber when I started having carb problems
  11. She starts then dies, smell like its a really rich mixture and when I can get it to run it will randomly die on me. Fuel pump and filter is good got good spark and idk where else to look.
  12. I run 195-70r14 which should be the same height as 205 65 15s yours will be a touch wider but I clear mine just fine after tapping on a few things with a hammer... all the tapping I had to do is completely unnoticed!
  13. sweet how much would a whole six inch kit be will probably just go with the strut lowering stuff but just curious on the whole kit price will pm you when i can get the funding lol
  14. How much for just the front and rear strut drops for an ea82 4" and 6" not sure how big i wanna go yet
  15. thanks for the pictures man, any might i add that it was a great idea cut and relocate the strut mounting holes i never would have thought of that. Thanks again
  16. damn you aint kidding when you say alot of work. i was hoping it could be done in a weekend or two lol, but that would take me a little while to get done, but yeah if you could post some pictures of all the welding and what not, you had to do, that would be great.
  17. pictures would be awesome, and yes i can fab and weld pretty fair.
  18. how did you resolve your camber issue? i am looking for a cheap way to lift my car but still keep it a good day to day driver, and the camber seems to be my only real issue i am having.
  19. awesome that makes building a lift a bit harder. Do you have any tips or tricks that you wouldnt mind sharing, or perhaps some blue prints that i could use for the strut blocks on the front. i think i have a good idea of how to build everything else except for maybe the rear strut extensions, so if you have some tips or blue prints for the front and rear strut extensions i could use i would really appreciate it,

    thanks

    TJ

  20. do you put any angle on the front lift blocks or are they just cut straight?

if they are cut straight is dropping the engine what makes the camber better?
