ok so i did it finally got pissed off enough and bought an aftermarket ECU....... will be wiring it up this weekend and pitching the factory computer in the pile of subaru crap for testing lol

I agrre i just wish more people were aware of this. i cant tell you how many times I've had the conversation at meets "yea those are JDM headlights" "ohh really thats cool did you adjust the beam pattern?" "uhh i dont know what you mean" same conversation i always have about JDM mirriors

the daileys eg33 is 6250 i know cuz i came close to ordering one lol. i dont understand why it wouldnt work my only concern would be scavenging from the heads and what type of secondary container you use

i too have been looking into this and think its a great idea! tuneability can be added in later as for most ej swaps it isnt nessisary until much later down the line

do some searching. i know that its been done and i even looked into doing this on my eg33 build: http://www.daileyengineering.com/subaru_ej_4_cylinder.htm i think cosworth has a system as well

ok well that might be the issue then as EVERYTHING is grounded to the chasis.... what abouth the ECU itself. it is in a plastic watertight box should it be grounded as well?

i dogknoted the grounds together and grounded them to the chassis should i undo that and run individual ground wires? also does the ECU case need to be grounded? it currently lives in a water tight case inder the hood
