I am going to be Film Crew now!
I'd be interested in purchasing some dvd's. Price would be a huge factor in whether or not I bought them or not. I'm kind of a cheapskate.

Best music for wrenching on the Subaru
A little Green Day is always good.

Attn: Colorado I submit for your approval
I would love to see one with a gl/dl/loyale wagon. Only because I am selfish and I want something with my car on it. My two cents. COOL DESIGN.

slowly gettting ready to off road...
Morgan, thanks for the list. It will be a great help as I get the car ready for a little off-road riding. Got the cb installed today. Not to difficult. Luckily, the maintence staff where I work are very helpful. I just mentioned in passing that I needed to hook up my cb and our maintence supervisor said he would help. Basically, I got to watch as he hooked it up.

Most embarassing place you've been stuck in your Ru?
My brakes went out right in front of an Autozone so I pulled in and used the emergency break to stop. The manager said I could leave it there as long as I wanted as long as I bought the parts from him. It was a 24 hr. store so I left it there 2 weeks and then a friend and I fixed it in the parking lot.

Southeast off-roaders
Anyone ever been to the Uwharrie National Forest in North Carolina to drive the trails? Just found them on the web and it looks interesting. The trail system is open till 12/15/04. From what the pictures show it looks like the loyale might be able to handle them.

purchasing legacy...some questions
I have found a 91 legacy for sale. I have not seen it yet or talked with the owner, but the ad says high mileage and they are asking $700 neg. I own a 90 loyale ea82 which leaks oil (i think they all do). My question is do the legacy motors (ej22?) leak oil as bad as the ea82's? Are they reliable engines? I don't know if it is an auto. or man. transmission, but should I stay away from one or the other? Thanks for any input.

where to get Peugeot wheels
There is a place down here in NC that only sells and services Peugeots. Great amount of wheels to choose from, but they happen to be a little more expensive then a junkyard. I googled "Peugeot" and found this place.

slowly gettting ready to off road...
Slowly but surely I am preparing my loyale to do some off road driving. I purchased a cb radio today (radio shack $30) and I have going back and forth on some pug rims with larger off road tires.

clunking 2wd not in 4wd
www.sunsetcoachmen.com is their web page. Their wheels aren't cheap, but they have anything you could want. They quoted me some prices, but I thought if went down there then maybe I could bargain with them a bit. I am going to get 14" alloys. I think they quoted me $60 ea.

clunking 2wd not in 4wd
I looked up Concord on mapquest (there are something like 7 Concords in NC). I am planning a trip to Charlotte, I was going to go today but my car was disagreeable, to pick up some Pug wheels. There is a place in Charlotte and all they do is sell old Puegots. I am usually off on Mondays so I am planning to go next week.

Hello and questions
redkard4 replied to Jessamine's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI would classify myself as an interested owner also, but it is a blast reading all the information that is on this board. These guys and girls know their stuff and are extremely friendly, generous and most importantly they are not condescending to those of us who don't have a clue (that's me). What major NC city are your boonies located near?

I am in Wake Forest, 15 min. north of Raleigh. Concord is in the western part of the state isn't it? I make my way to Asheville a few times a year with work.

"Soob depression"
Like I said early I am not that mechanical, but I do like trying to fix items. With my latest problem (loud "clunking" sound from rear end) I would not know where to begin. Just a little frustrating.

"Soob depression"
Don't get me wrong, I love my 90 loyale. The problem it seems is that I am putting a couple hundred dollars every few months into it for a constant flow of different problems. Brakes, cv joints, tune ups, leaking gaskets, timing belt, wheel bearings, leaking gaskets, a/c, alignment, leaking gaskets, etc. You get the idea. I am not that mechanically inclined and I do not have a garage in which I can park my car and work on it properly. I'm just wondering is it worth it for me to keep this car? It runs good for a car as old as it is, but I sure would like a legacy with an automatic. Any feedback would be appreciated, I think I am in "soob depression" with the latest "noise" coming from my car and the thought that I am almost making a car payment every other month it seems keeping it fixed.

clunking 2wd not in 4wd
This morning my 4wd loyale started making a "clunking" sound from the rear end. Sounds like drivers side but could be coming from the middle. This afternoon I put it in 4wd just to see what would happen and the noise seemed to stop. Any ideas what could be causing the noise and would engaging the 4wd having anything to do with it stopping? It is a 90 loyale s/r 4wd. The clunking sound corresponds with the rotation of the wheels.

Essential thread for new users
great idea! i am mechanically challenged to say the least, but i love the board so i spend a great deal of time trying to figure out what the knowledgeable people are talking about. it takes forever it seems to figure out what some abbreviations are. two thumbs up from me! we need a glossary of terms!!

Need opinions on pushbutton 4wd
i've got a 90 loyale with the pushbutton 4wd, 221,000 miles and the 4wd works great. i think it is a little rough when it goes back to 2wd (sort of a clunk) i don't know if this is normal, but it works every time and it runs great!
