i am running the 2.2 in my originally 1.8 95 obd1 impreza, running the 1.8 intake wiring and ecu, 2.2 injectors, she runs fine! not even a check engine light, egr is blocked off

95 impreza wagon, manual from 96 leg, 3.90, 2.5 block from 96 leg ob, witht the heads from the 1.8 on it, 1.8 ecu and intake, full egr, runs pretty good, stronger than a 2.2 for sure, as good as the 2.5twin, rev happy, torquey, kyb-gr2's, tien springs, 08 leg 22mm front sway, seats from a 03 wrx, custum shifter, 04 wrx momo wheel, 02 gt wheels, 02 outback leg brakes, lots of lower chassis bars, no rear sway, rear drum, no spoilers or scoops or vents, no exhuast...YET, tint, blue, back window covered in roller derby stickers, traveling 81 and 64 most weekends........i got about 1000 miles on the hybrid motor, thinking about trying again but port the ************ out of the heads, i have another set, also have the 2.2, but the heads look the same to me......does anybody know if the valve from the 2.5 twin can bit made to fit the 2.2 heads, or 1.8 heads......

so my current plan is,,,,,,2.2 dual ports with roller rockers from siingle ports, onto a phase 1 2.5 dohc block. and some delta cams if i have any money, i know i can make the whole thing run using the 1.8 wiring and ecu, but i know it will run better if i find a 2.2 ecu and harness to use.....

i got a 2.2 into the 1.8 now, using intake from 1.8 and wiring, but injectors from 2.2, runs and idles but ahs a stuter every so often, i want to put a 2.5 dohc i have in there but i know i want a knock sensor, i know i can get the ecu, harness section and then use the 2.2 or 2.5 engine harness but i havnt found a 95 impreza with the right combo to get the harness, so i know if i find that im ok, but minus that, is there a way to do this, the 2.2 ecu has a different plug on the ecu and the engine.....any help would be great... also is there any body lightning factory flywheels anymore, skip used to but i dont know if that cats still around....

anybody know if a forester bumper will fit an impreza, both are 99's.....

so i have a 98 forester that needs a motor, it has 170k on the chassis, so it needs some general suspension work, and since the cats are pluged, it will also need exhuast work, now all this might seem duanting, but i used to run a shop, still have a shop in my garage, and really know my subaru's. you new guys might not know me, but i been doing subarus for 20 years. and i have been on the USMB for 15 years and many a site change. now back to the car, i want to lower it(kyb agx and some whiteline springs and swaybars) i dont know if i can use imprezza struts all round, any one know??? i want to build a boosted 2.5 DOHC motor for it(using cooked old motor) my heads are rebuildable(plan n some serious porting) but i wonder if i can bolt the ej25 heads onto a boosted block, or rebuild my block with some lower compresion pistons, any ideas???? do seats swap between impreza and forester? any other crazy ideas for a forester??? i have lots of experience building/racing early impreza sti(93-01) and have built several GT-B legacy's(enough to know twin turbo's are a ***************) but have never messed with the forester(except the usual engine and trans and maintence work) the car is rust and wreck free, loaded with all options, nice alloys, and never riced, i see some (very few) sf5 jdm forester stuff on ebay, dont see anybody selling anything here let me here your ideas....

anywhere LA, car is in SIMI need help bad, cant find a decent SOOB MECH and the trans is ************ing up any help!!!!

a car i built 9 months ago just lost its transmission, apperently goes foward and reverse no more than 10mph, weird!!, car is located in SIMI valley cali, its a 96 legacy outback with a 2.5 and a auto, i rebuilt the engine but the trans was completely rebuilt, and has worked very well for the past however many months, any help let me know julestatum@comcast.net 434-249-5853

nobody listen to this guy he is a dead beat that owes me thousands and is up to trickery to get his motor back SUBYLUV owes me more than 3000 for the work i did and was MIA for 6 months, now he expects me to just hand his car over even though he doesnt have the money to pay the bill scrapdaddy but hey i dont build cars anymore so i really dont care i know that if he calls me again ill be pursueing the bill hotshot you need anything else from me just ask i dont have the shop anymore pretty much was out of there right after you got the car and im broke becouse of all the unpaid invoices people left me with but im glad to see you trying to build the car SDT

well i know the small gear on the shaft is bad, the tech said he could do it, but wouldnt explain how, im still searching

trying to figure out if i can get the speedo shaft out with the trans in, i think there is a keeper i can pull from the side but i cant remember, any body got a nice pictural breakdown??

enough arguing over the NSS/inhibitor switch gloyale do this for me take my symptoms and code and tell me what to try if you read the post you know what i did so far and i have tried alot more than ive stated as well so please just give me a freaking idea of what to try next i dont take any offense to any of this but all this chit chat is besides the point i got a problem and you aint givin me any new ideas just knockin on what i have come to so far so stop talking, start thinking why does it stall out, then restart oerfectly why the code 1507 its not the IAC, its not the intake gaskets its not the coil,wires, plugs.... its not the knock, throttle body, injectors the trans is completly rebuilt car runs and drives perfect, until the stall and code think people THINK monday im putting something in the trans that may or may not fix it but at 61 bucks its a cheap try

did you read the other posts on 1507???? just go read them and if you have any idea what OTHER direction to go in say so, until then im trying the NSS

NOT DISMISSING IT been there tried that 3 different IAC'S. 1 from a solid running car(mine) all to the same effect, NONE and i did resistance tests on the wiring, no issue there either i also did a hard test of the shifter switch to no effect im left to believe this NSS is the answer however unlikly that is, it has solved the problem for some other folks today im testing the intake gaskets for leaks(soob360's idea) and im up for trying anything any one can think of

the motor is a freash build, i will check the gaskets in the morning

but i guess also the ecu/tcu use the signal the same way regardless if its the eact same part......

oh a nuetral safty switch i should be spade but is it the exact same part to have the same failure
