i can remove the motor in about 45 minutes so removing the engine should NOT cost that much more i have no idea why any mech would want to do that job in the car and why anybody would do just one side but then again 90% of my customers are stolen from the dealer and there must be a reason for that i can have a 2.5 out and striped in 2.5 hours and back together and in, in 3.5-4 but i dont rush, kinda got a slow pace around here

is shifting controlled by the tcu?????

car was purchased with a broken trans(no 4wd, bad clutch set) i didnt use it becouse the numbers come back as a 92 model??? the car that provided the trans was purchased for its body i put the trans straight into the first car and it worked fine but didnt have 4wd so i pulled it and pulled the tailshaft, all done on bench the rear gear was sheared apart so replaced gear, clutch pack, and 4wd cylnoid, put tail shaft back on and put trans back in car the tcu stays with the transmision so its all good there i now have 4wd, allways with bind, the fuse does work but does not light up the dash light(might need a bulb) does not have bind with the fuse in does not come out of first(top speed 15???) does have reverse, does not manually shift into 2nd,ect the first time i put in the trans the tcu was wrong, and it flashed at me and what not, but it shifted, now it doesnt shift i checked 2 big connectors, cleaned and greased and reset(click) plugs seated nicely i didnt see any bent prongs thats what i know

yeah!!! MAF solved the problem

cleaned and greased all connections pulled fuse, still stuck in 4wd and nothin but 1st

ok will do, car is an auto (trans and tcu are out of another car, same year/engine/trim) so there shouldnt be any funny bussiness going on car original trans had broken pump so pulled to rebuild(was not able to) off to check elec

new clutch pack, cylnoid, gear that was sheared off, so complete tailshaft over hual trans DID have all gears before did not have 4wd(broken gear)

update so it has 4wd, allways with bind put in the fuse and no light but no 4wd either does not shift out of 1st, does have reverse no more code after clearing it im a liitle confused again normally these things take their clutch and are good this ones acting like the cyl is bad but all is new ?????

P1702Auto Trans Diagnosis Input Signal Circuit so i beeen rebuilding transmissions again and got this code???? i dont know this one im check 4 wd now i also got a 0135 but thats o2 and i might have bogarted the o2 in the swap but i dont "get" this 1702

i only had use of my right foot for 2 years you get used to it real quick and i could shift like a chapion hills were allways fun though i had a 86 ranger 23004cyl and 4speed manual this was when i was 19-21 following a motogp race where i was tossed at 120mph and shattered my left leg so yes you can drive stick with just your right foot

the problem motor only last from 96-99 then they fixed the issue, sort of, the phase 2 had a different but similar problem any body know when that was fixed, i dont know i know the newer sti motor thats a 2.5 does not have the issue

found one, radiators r' us, all metal(mines part plastic and thats part of the problem) 150.00/25 ups ground, 1 year warrenty works for me

you can get more power out of a built 2.2 than a built 2.5(phase 1) becouse the 2.5 will blow its gaskets under any kind of boost/compression

whole rad is shot, in/outs cracked and falling apart time for brand new rad
