well is the part i replaced that vsss part, its the elctro/mechanical piece, didnt change anything, does stabalize above 30????????

97 outback 2.5 4eat replaced the cluster, and replaced the speed sensor but the speedo jumps seems to only work while my foot is on the accelarater any ideas????

jamie, just so you know i replaced the ring and sensor on driverside, myself i do ALL my own work and the fluid level was good, i did also replace all 4 rotors and pads and then bleed the whole thing untill it bleed clear at all 4 corners i also rebuilt the 2.5l , rebuilt the 4eat becouse the 4wd was chunked new header and cats, new o2's, new cluster, speed sensor stil has an issue with the speedo that is a different post though

light went out on its own, soon as i drove it over 20, cool

anybody no how to reset them, turns on instantly, does not reset with ecu fixed problem(sensor ring broke and destroyed sensor) all new now still lights on???? any help searching didnt lead to an answer

i used Goerlich Catalytic Converter they are suposed to be true odb2 compliant seems to work real good, acording to the o2 read outs

do you think after market cats will affect any thing??? i have real nice name brand cat that is odb2 compliant works great, never throws a code and water spits o plenty i think it would pass any smog test but we dont have them here so i got no way to tell

im sending a car out to cali for a customer 97 outback 2.5 with new motor and trans and new exhuast too new cats and all will it pass cali emisions or do i need to do something extra to it????

the projection headlights are THE way to go i have installed and used several sets of the JDM lights and although a little wiring is involved they KICK AZZ and i mean KICK AZZ they are so worth the money there is another kind, the are called morrettes(spelling???) and they are OK, but the JDM projectors are the way to go i had a 97 legacy gt with JDM projectors and JDM fog/driving lights and they ROCKED insanely bright, and great for country roads

i have used worse with no ill effect, as long as none are on the headgasket edge i would not worry about it i have run much worse on toyota's

do a relearn unplug battery step in brake pedal hook battery back up and start car, dont touch anything wait for it to warm up and dont touch anything when it is warm, shut it off and restart, is it normal then this is the standard relearn prcedure if you touch something during that first restart it can effect the relearn cheers good luck
