  1. i have used seafoam in my brat, volvo, and 4 runner

    it is awesome stuff.the atf trick should only be used until warm up on the engine.it is NOT GOOD to leave it in.there is also a diesel fuel trick for your fuel system. it is not for beginners though.....( as i talk like i am a professional)hahaha no really, agood diesel mechanic i know told me that you could poor up to a quart through your carb at high rpms and it would do wonders... well , i have seen it,it did wonders.you can not let the carb choke out though....it will not start again.at least until you tear it apart and clean it all out.that can suck.however , from what i understand the atf trick can be just as bad for your engine.you should put a quart in place of oil at oil change and let the car get to operating temperature then shut her down and change the oil again.if you do not take it out it will eat seals.it is a detergant base after all.what happened to your engines bucky?just curious...............cheers all

  2. in the past i have taken my 4spd d/r

    into the depths of oregon's forest(slimy moss infested places),the deserts of washington(up and past the wild horses national monument where you are not supposed to go),and all around everywherein between spokane and seattle.my engine blew, not my tranny.it was amazing when you reach the top of any hill and see large 4x4's looking in amazement.that was a stock 84 gl wagon.now i have a dual range in the brat.i am sure i will be pleased with it as well.do not be hasty in your decision to get rid of it.check it out for what itis worth and you might find that the brat was just not meant to race on the ice.but, it could take you to a hilltop to watch your friends race....

  3. i recently installed a byb/pk lift and did it in two afternoons.it was simple if you pay attention to what you are doing and take all of the "hints".perplexing at first when you get it and lay all of the pieces out, but easy once you climb under and start.good luck.....hope you get OZIFIED!

  4. either would be applicable then......just different measurements for different rims ehhh?the toyota rims i have seem to be just like all the rest i have found lying around.and seem to be the same that anyone who is running toyota rims is running.they seem to have better "backspacing "than pugs..

    chevy , the same. am i on the right track here?anyone?

  5. i looked around and have found anything from 4.5 inch offset to 3.5 inch offset.the toyota steelies i want to use i believe are 3.5 or 3.75.am i correct in thinking that i will be able to run a 7 or 8 inch wide rim with minimal problems...this would be with a 27 to 29 inch tire...i want to be able to still get my full flex capabilities with no rubbing whatsoever.i am willing to trim and bang.just want to clarify on the offset....

  6. i was supposed to address this today.didn't happen.tomorrow will be the day of reckoning.baccaruda and i looked at the situation and it appears to be the top of the strut mount hitting the fender.and then the strut spring is flipping around and clunking as it seats in the proper spot.......i believe it simply needs the bfh.we will see tomorrow.
