I see you are in Portland, I am in the area as well. I have a 2002 outback with 252K on it. It has been leaking coolant for some time now, previous owner had the right headgasket done and it appears the left needs it now. My dilema is, do I pour money into an engine with this many miles or would I be better off getting another motor. I figure for parts alone to do both head gaskets and timing parts, water pump, etc I will spend 3-500 dollars. What is the going rate for a decent ej251?
