  1. I used my old head bolts on mine when I did my head gasket. I read loads of posts on other forums about upswing them with no problems.
  2. Will be glad to get my Outback on the road.

  3. I was talking about the guide thing in the pic. I was told that they didn't use them on auto trans engines. Wish the engine was the single cam one. The DOHC is kinda a pain in the rump roast with the valve shims.

  5. Forgot to add that it has all options but the CD changer.
  6. Found this forum threw Google. I got my Outback from the Auto salvage yard I work for. It was going to be crushed. It seemed to run just fine at first but started to have head gasket problems. I pulled the engine and did the head gaskets in my spare time. The car has 267,000 miles but the engine still had a very strong cross hatch in the cylinders. It seems that it has had a rebuilt engine installed. The engine had the timing belt guide that was only used on the manual trans cars. Mines an auto trans. Thanks for the forum help Shawn.
