  1. I need to make a picknpull run and the closest one that has an ea82 is 100miles away. Its a 85 rx, did all rx come turboed?
  2. Can I pull one off a different suby? Not many gls or ea82s around.
  3. Im about to use an easy out to get my stripped idle screw its the bigger one of the two. To replace it, do I need to go to the dealer or is there another option? Also when I hold my throttle at 2500 it will drop to about 1000 then back to 2500? What causes this? Thanks buds
  4. just wondering, do they do evap checks? pressurize the gas tank
  5. Just like in the miles fox "tuning a ea82" video my car is doing the same thing. When the rpms are brought to 2500, the needle will drop than go back to 2500. What is the cause of this? Timing is dead on 20 with green plugs in.

  7. I need help on where exactly these hoses go. These are not my pictures just used for reference. The one with the check valve. Does the hose to the right of that go into the intake manifold? the hose sticking straight out to the canister and the hose towards the bottom to the intake tube? kind of like this? (Also on this picture top left there is a valve on the left strut tower with one vac line coming off. where does that hose go?)

  9. 2 nissan 240 sx 1 92 bmw 325i just make sure you fill up after to get the e85 out. everytime i do it. i go to a place where they offer a free retest, after i fail the first i go fill it with e85 and come back 30min later and the dudes are always like what in the world, "you know you only have one free retest right" haha works everytime.
  10. ive passed every car i own that failed smog this way.... Drive car to empty all the gas and warm the cats Add 2 Gallons of Chevron 91 ( Or highest in your area) Then add 1 gallon of e85 then go smog Thank me later. The e85 isnt going to do no harm since it will be gone and flushed out the system after you smog. your reading will be way lower.
  11. take a piece of string, wrap it around where the belt is suppose to go. take that string to the auto parts store and match it.
  12. Also on my injectors, cyl 1 and 3 how do I know what injector harness goes where? I swap them and it still runs the same.
  13. Thats what I thought also so I cleaned the whole bottom of engine. Nothing is dripping onto exhaust. The car idles perfect. But if let idling for about 3min the smoke will appear. Its coming from the side of the valve cover. Not the bottom. Could it be the o ring?
  14. I have smoke coming from the side of my passanger valve cover. mpfi ea82T What could cause this? valve seals, blow by, pcv valve, or wrong weight oil.

  17. Do I have any options for a replacment downpipe wit cat? I live in california, emission hell.
  18. Checked the "cam case" or valve cover seals and they look to be leaking along with the oil pan gasket. Tightened all the bolts up. Quick question. On the downpipe is that a catalytic converter along with the mid catalytic converter ?
  19. Im going to check out the valve cover seals. I need to get a temp sensor but they are pricey. I like that one you posted tho jono Also I have an aftermarket gauge I might hook up into my heater hose. What one should I tap into for an accurate reading? As for miles, Not sure. Previous owner. Changed block. He said the old one had a bad head gasket
  20. The car has been sittin in my garage for a year. Replaced lower block and heads with gen 3 heads, replaced intake manifold gasket also
  21. So I been trying to figure out whats going on with my car. Its an ea82 mpfi turbo wagon. It starts and runs, and idles smooth. But when I let it idle for oh say about 3min. Smoke will start coming from under the turbo. Its burning type of smoke. When looking under the car its coming off the exhaust pipes. (No smoke from tail pipe). My temp guage dont work but when you turn the car off. The cat will start to crackle and pop as its cooling down. I replaced water pump and thermostat thinking the turbo wasent cooling properly but I dont think its that. Any help?
  22. Its easy Remove the electric fan. 2bolts on top, 2 on bottom. Assuming you have no coolant already disconnect the hoses. Put new rad in along with sensor. Fill with coolant and bleed
  23. i cant get my 4x4 on a 88 4x4 wagon to dis engage. I drove it around the streets trying to make it pop out but nothing. Am i doing something wrong? I can hear the solonoid on the driver side push air.
