  1. Thanks! About the egr though, how am I going to pass visual inspection, or did they come like this?
  2. 88 wagon ea82t No spot for egr on my manifold, but have the hard line coming up from the exhaust. The manifold is plugged up like thats the way it came from fActory.. did my model not come with egr?
  3. I have a 88 wagon turbo ea82. I also live in CA, My understanding is the later year 88 turbo ea82 didnt come with EGR. I believe i need this to pass smog. or do i not? IF so. Can i swap out the manifold from any MPFI ea82 w/ egr and put on my Ea82??
  4. Im going to figyre out how to mount s13 coil overs on it.
  5. Just out of curiosity, would the same concept with sleeve overs and etc work on a 4x4 gl wagon?
  6. ok, do you happen to know what the hardline is for near the exhaust under the engine? Also where is the solenoid located? and will this effect my emissions for CA
  7. I purchased an 88 wagon, owner said it needed the exhaust hooked up. Okay thats easy Got it running all good. While under the car i noticed a hard line near the exhaust that was crimped. I figured it was for the EGR. After looking at my monifold. it looks like the egr port is blocked. Did the Import Ea82s come like this? Do i just need to change the manifold?
  8. I dont think I have one. So its right by the distributor? Would the hardline in my original post go to this?
  9. Its the hardline right by the exhaust port, under the car driver side. If its for the turbo where would this line go? I thought I put all the lines on the turbo correct If its dor egr, I dont even know where the egr valve is on my motor 88 ea82 turbo 4x4. I did notice the turbo is hot if I idle the car for about 5 min and turn it off.
  10. I have what looks like a powersteering hardline coming from the block near the exhaust. Whats this line for?
  11. I was told that black ball thing wasent used for turbo models because thats pretty much where the turbo is, it would melt. where would that be for turbo models?
  12. So the vac coming from that gets hooked up to the bottom vac line on the black cruise control thing mounted on the strut tower?
  13. That last picture of the vacuum for cruise control. Where is the hose with the red clamp going into?
  14. Here is the valve im talking about on top of the boost solenoid.
  15. Thanks so much for the help. So the two lines from the solenoid go like this? Couple more thing. On the bottom of the cruise control unit, there is a spot for a vacuum line. Where does this go or "T" into? Also on the boost valve/solenoid the vacuum vent gets T`d into the big vacuum hose that goes into the intake. I have that but by looking at my pictures does that all look right? Also ontop of the boost solenoid there is another valve of some sort. I believe thisnis for the boost light? Does this just go straight into the intake manifold?
  16. need help with vacuum lines on an California 88 GL 4X4 5speed. The vacuum lines im needing help with are the far left on the vapor canister. the bottom line on the Cruise control unit. and 2 random lines i dont know about. along with where to place the check valve and T's
  17. Ive checked those out but its all wiring diagrams. Even if there is a way to delete the cruise control that would also help.
  18. So I figured out one thing. The bottom hose on the cruise control is off. Where does that line go?
  19. Picked up a 88 ea82t gl that needed the turbo put back on. Got the turbo back on, now just need help with the vacuum line mess on passenger side. Car is a california model. I downloaded the service manual but thats no help. Any diagrams?
