These legacy turbos are automatic. What would be the process to remove heads without the engine pull?

So i have been looking into legacy turbos for a while and came across thishttps://boulder.craigslist.org/cto/6031023876.html Obviously this price is way to high considering the miles. But what does everyone here think? The timing belt , water pump, and pulleys were changed 40k ago. He said the headgaskets have not been done yet. Anyone have any experience with high mileage legacy turbos? Any advice or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated!

Is it common for them to blow out earlier on the 2.2 turbo models? Im Really interested in those but haven't heard much about them.

damn thats crazy, i bet thats a pricey fix to slap in some new pistons and gaskets on a older subie.

Im so confused as to how the 2.5 headgasket is still a issue. Do the newer 2.5's still have this issue?
