No, its connected but im trying to figure out if maybe the connections are messed so my drive solenoid isnt working. Because i tryed to test the OHMS and nothing showed up, i grounded it and checked all the pins but nothing.

I saw the wiring on the transmission and i wanted to see if its working, or the wiring might be screwed. But can it work without the TCU connected?

Ok i read in another thread that it could be the clutch sticking because of a dirty ATF. SO if i change the fluid might that help. Because before the problem, if would delay engaging into 4wd when in deep snow. but how would i kno for sure if the drive solenoid is dead?

Ya i did put the fwd fuse in and all four wheels spin in snow. So its a dead solenoid. U think if i get a new tranny i can install it myself in the garage? Is it a simple task.

It runs real smooth, and shift no problems. And at 100k we changed the disc on the 4th gear. but we havent chnaged the fluid for over 180k lol.

Ya but that over $100 just to do that, and most likely it wont do anything. I was wondering, am i going to need a new rear differential and a whole tranny. ANd that its. Is the transfer case in the tranny and will a tranny from a 96 legacy work perfectly? or better?

So u think the tranny is near the end. Well that sucks, how do i kno if there is alot of wear in my tranny. It runs smooth, and shift no problems, and its a auto tranny.

I brought my 93 legacy to the dealership in Missausauga Ontario to see why the power light was flashing, and they said they dialed up a drive solenoid problem, and torque bind. They said total cost is $1900CAN with labour and everything brand new. But i was wondering if iits better to get used parts? Any suggestions? Might i add i brought the car in 1year and 2 months ago lol. today i put on over 12000KM of driving will the car the way it is. And it now has 280000KM

Hey all, i got a 93 legacy and i see a bunch of brown tiny dots that look like this . and there are quite a bit. Anyone kno how to get rid of them, i tryed using a scrup brush and my nails. doesnt work. Maybe varsal? but its only on the right windows. but 0 on the left. or winshield.

ya subaru's awd system is pretty amazing, for fact i own a 93 legacy and i have went throught snow up to the top of the DOOR, ya im not kidding but i did have some good snow tires. I have to tell u i was amazed to, who would think such a low car could go throught so much snow? The snow wasn't even on a road, it was in a old friends driveway and he wanted us to clean up some snow, but im surprised we even got into the drive way, because he house is on a main road, and when we saw how much snow they was we were shocked. So i floored it and turned right into the snow, the wheels did spin but there was lots of ice. If i encounter the same situation this year, ill take a picture.

well, there no way my sub would fill with water, but i don't know if the engine would still run? i mean its pretty sealed. I think it has more to do with the spark plug seal.

Has anyone ever driven there sub through a flood. Just wondering,, would it leak inside. Did the engine die. Cause recently floods have been popular here in Ontario. I own a 93 legacy, but i don't know if its a good idea to do through deeper thank the hight of the car. Anyone done this?

Hi, i own a 93 legacy and im not to sure where the fuel filter is, is it the one near the brake fluid? and how do i check to see if its dirty. It has over 280k and running with the original fuel filter, think it need a change? O and i was also wondering how i get to the light under the shifter, its a automatic.

U know wat there is a bit of play well alot moves about 5 inches of play, thx mate, do u have some sort of instructions to repair it?

I have 93 legacy and for some reason the front wipers keep hitting the side and i have adjusted it to go right under the hood, lol. any answers and if u dont know wat i mean by wipers hit the side i mean like u know when it moves too the left and hits the outer edge of the glass. If u need further info ask> thx!

Hi, i have a 93 legacy and i have a problem, but it has been like this ever since we have bought it. Sometimes in the winter time when i like pulse the brakes, the abs light comes on and u need to reset the abs, is there anyway to fix this? O also sometimes it stays on wen the abs light comes on and i need to turn it off by unplugging it, is there maybe a relay problem?

hi i also had the same problem with my 93 legacy and the dealer wanted $2000 to fix it, but instead wat we did was say $2k can buy alot of brake fluid so we kept topping the brake fluid for a year and maintained the level, and eventually it stopped lleaking and this happened about 4 years ago, and since then we haven't added a drop and still running with the same amount, hopefully this will work out for u. I suggest u use recommended brake fluid, however im not sure but i think it's DOT-3.

Same thing happened on my legacy i just disconnected the connector and the light went out, but it u take them out try some alchol or electronic cleaner then plug i back in worked for me, but u should have normal braking when the relay is out, just might slip.
