  1. Well i cant really give it much time as subaru just loaned it to me while my legacy gets the wiper linkage changed. But its just the pickup tme thats slow.
  2. Hi, our subaru went in for service and we got a free rental. We took the drive for a long trip, and it seems slow? Its just a basic 2.5 non turbo, and compared to my 1993 legacy wagon 2.2l non turbo (with almost 300000km) it seems quicker on take off. The forest they gave us has 2000km. Anyone else kind it slow. But once it taken off the forester then flies. But from 0KM its super slow especially with foot down. WIth my legacy the car jumps up, lol. And they both top 200km fairly easily. Anyone think maybe the car needs to be broken in? Because we rreally like the forester, but we also want fast vehicle. Anyone else have this issue?
  3. Hi, i was wondering how you lift the bottom part of the seats in the rear in the forester, because i just want to clean whats below it, can someone tell me how, Thanks!
  4. Buddy, dont jump and think the case just comes off, its sometimes a difficult situation, i would suggest a tranny flush for sure, just because its miner as u said, or u can put in the fwd fuse and see what happens.
  5. NExt time buy the awd model, could have avoided that. Good thing its a subaru and it is still safe.
  6. Well i have a 93 leg wagon with auto awd and its super quick for 130hp i must admit. I can easily well sorta more easilly do 180km, but it eventually gets up to 205km. but when the engine was new and didnt have 300000km it seemed quicker. lol. Try a turbo or supercharger, i was thinking the same, but it dont know how much horsepower these engines or the drivetrain can handle? anyone know?
  7. i would suggest putting the FWD fuse in to see if it emliminates the problem. Maybe you should do a tranny flush. Usually fixes the problem. Im just wondering if it could be the rear diff neeeds oil change. Nipper help man, someone?
  8. Thats what i thought. It seems to go to that plug u see there, because it looks like it should be tied together, but it must be diagnoisics, as the car run like new. Look under ur dash and see if u see two black wires to that connector. Eric.
  9. Ya mine came on because the idiots who changed my front bearing wacked the sensor, and i had to pay 300 for a new one. Dam *******!
  10. I took a look under my dash when i saw these two wires hanging. Is this right? Its a 93 leg wag. Replies are appreciated.
  11. I test drove a outback 3.0r and it flies. I tryed a forest 2.5 turbo, and we werent impressed though. It seemed the same aas our 93 leg wagon.
  12. You know what i fixed it!! YAY it was the screw right where the dash is and the top part made it tighter, and my center consle thing had cracked screws to i glued them an all is well. And now when the sub is cracked no gassly noises. THanks!
  13. You must have had fun with this car i saw all the pics. LOL. Do you have any video of it moving? ANd did it die plenty of times?
  14. I know but i want this car to sound like when it was new, maybe a chunk off plastic fell from hitting the dashboard so hard to get the dash lights to come on for a min. LOL. Well i had spent 7000 to make all the mechanical of the car great and now its VERY queit. No torque bind original engine a 280k still runs amazing for what it is. But maybe the screw that holds the dash is loose. I am oddd to check it out when my mom gets home lol.
  15. Ya i thought it looked kinda high. Must be good like that in the winter though!
  16. Ya those rims look pretty good but it would prob look better on my 93 leg wagon silver? Mine has a better nose.
  17. OK so i put a sub in my trunk and i hear a little more raddles but maybe when i bring my car to subaru for the dash lights to be replaced, they can figure it out?
  18. WAIT its a 98 leg. I thought they solved the issue of torque bind after 97. Ya so it must be a failed solenoid for the rear transfer case. and or clutch packs.
  19. YA it has nothing to do with the diff most likely, your suffering from something call torque bind. I suffered it. The cheapest thing to do is get a used tranny. O and do u have a manual or auto?
  20. I have a 93 leg wagon and theres another raddling under the dash i beleive when idling. ANyone else heard this?
  21. Heres a pic of my 93 leg, nothing special, just spent $7000CAN to fix it though. I got a rebuilt Sub tranny from subaru, and a bunch of little things and bearing, and i got a list. SO i spent 3000 on tranny with new TCU, 600 for tires, and another 2500 to make it like new. Now another 1000 to get it painted and get rid of all the rust. LOL. Well right now i broke, but o well. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3842&d=1147112984 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3843&d=1147112984
