1993 subaru ss
Qman replied to katoi's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMy point was and will continue to be... tell the OP what he should look for when purchasing a car. Be it a Mazda or SS Legacy. You do not need to make assumptions about buyers/sellers character. You know neither of them and realistically can not make that assumption.

1993 subaru ss
Qman replied to katoi's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXA junker price and the price for a non-running 93 SS do not compare. Even if it doesn't run the parts list is worth far more than $500.00. The core engine alone is worth that!

Qman replied to katoi's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGiving opinions on what to look for on a car inspection is perfectly fine. But calling seller or buyer names in the process is not!

Transmission problems
Qman replied to Xadamx1's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhile this may be a possibility. It in no way effects the park mechanism! Please read the problem before answering the question. I too vote for broken cv joint or broken park pawl.

Time to thanks those who braved the beautiful sunshine and moderate temperatures to hang out with us yet again. Not a big turn out this year but very nice all the same. Lots of sledding and hot cocoa kept the kids entertained. And some good snow covered roads kept the adults entertained as well.

OK, tomorrow's the day. We'll see everyone on the hill. If a few of you would consider grabbing some firewood bundles at the Greenwater store on the way up that would be great. I find that I am running out of room in the Outback and the 'yota. If anyone wants to bring a pop-up too that would be cool as well. We will have one there along with a camp stove and two propane heaters. It is cold so dress warmly and bring extras in case you get wet. See ya tomorrow!!

engine pitch rod??
Good advice!
-
engine pitch rod??
Oh, forgot one thing. The above listed specs would be for an EA81 vehicle. The EA82 vehicle is simply tighten it where it lies!
-
engine pitch rod??
Now, you read all of this right? No where does it say adjust anything but the clearance of the bushing to the bracket... using it to place the engine in anything but a neutral location will not fall within the specified adjustment clearance. Now, that somes it up mkay
-
engine pitch rod??
Again, the pitchrod is not adjustable for angle. The mount is slotted so that there is no...ZERO pressure on the bushings... it works the same as a strut rod bushing. Designed to hold position not adjust it! If your exhaust hits or your u-joints wear out you have other problems. Better yet Genius... find me the pitchrod adjustment procedure in the FSM... oh yes, we'll wait!
-
engine pitch rod??
Completely wrong. Go climb under one and check your angles... Generally speaking, with the engine sitting in the crossmember bolted to the transmission, and it is sitting in it's crossmember, tighten your pitch stopper. It is designed to stop movement. Not set an angle. A bubble level... really?

There will not be any trouble finding snow this year. Snow tires or better will be needed to get to the top of the hill. See everyone on Sunday!

ANybody traveling between Seattle and Bellingham?
I have a few parts at Scott's that I am supposed to pick up. Maybe we'll have to do a road trip. Can't go Saturday. Maybe Sunday? Or if someone is going up and back...

1991 Loyale Wagon - let the build begin.
I think both of you will stop. I don't know the history. I don't really need to either. Any more and there will be time outs, temporary or permanent, you will decide.

DIY for front wheel bearing?
Qman replied to sario's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhen you guys get your saliva off of Rick's scrotum we can continue this conversation. Clean it up or there will be a few part-time and full-time time outs given. Now as far as the englilsh class goes. childrens school buses and Children's school busses.(Just to be picky, both spellings are correct) The ' exhibits possension and ownership. Neither of which would be the case. And before any of you decide to push this you should all use spell check as I can find spelling and grammatical errors in every one of your posts. Back to Subaru!
