  1. Hey All, We completed the weber conversion, (re: Ideas on Swapping a weber carb on EA82s) for the 1990 loyale, which entails unplugging the sensors. We did this because replacement sensors for 1990 fuel injected loyale are unavailable, and are looking for a long term fix. Now the new distributor we have will not work without the computer, and according to summit racing, cardone doesn't make one that will work with points. Is it possible to bypass the need for communicating with the computer, with this distributor (cardone part number 31-850 )? If not, is there any other work around to get the distributor to do what its supposed to do, i.e., another way for it to receive the right signal?
  2. Another question on swapping a weber on an EA82. I've got a 90 subaru loyale tbi, which means that I have a crank angle sensor advanced distributor. I need a vacuum advanced distributor part number to order. The ecu is being bypassed, necessitating this. What models of the EA82 are carbureted? Thank you so much in advance. Eric
  3. Evap/egr system is bad enough to make replacing the efi with the weber look like a good idea, but how's the ea82 to rebuild when its time to do so? Are any of the newer engines candidates for transplant/drop in instead of rebuilding the ea82? By the way, thanks for all the help I've gotten so far from your forum.
