  1. Got's lots of Tan stuff here myself. Seems Grey is hard to come by... I'll dig thru things and see what I may need still and get back with you.

  2. Got an '82 BRAT I'm trying to restore. What color interior does yours have? I need some Grey pieces.

    And Welcome to the Board!!!

  3. Home all weekend. 45 Greenwood Ave Hillsdale. 517-320-4925

  4. As long as it's not from a 3-door coupe, it will work, according to the Board.

  5. If it can be confirmed to be a direct swap into the '88, I think we can deal.

  6. If you could snag me a good hood and/or windshield for the '88 Wagon we'd be good.

No idea on worth of trans, nor do I have an idea of what a hood or windshield goes for. Don't have anything in yards near me.

  7. Got the trans out of the '82 BRAT sitting here. Not going to put it back in.

  8. That works for me......

Steering wheel will be the Grey one out of my '88. Other spare wheels are damaged in one way or the other. :(

Need your street addy, send me an email with that info. A soon as see PayPal hit, I'll get them shipped.

E-brake handle assembly looks to be of a Blue color.

  9. Not looking to get rich, so just make a decent offer + shipping costs.

Have 3 different colors for steering wheels Light Brown '92, Grey '88, and I believe Black, (but it might be Blue). Don't know year on that one.

Email addy is tomrhere at yahoo dot com, also my PayPal.

I ship mostly thru work using UPS, but will do USPS if it's cheaper.

  10. Good to hear you're back. Sorry but no parts for your Wagon here, (atleast none for the rear), as I've only had EA81's in the BRAT flavor.

May have other items here that would fit yours.

Post in the Wanted Forum for the tails, and check the Parts for sale Forum. Thinking I've seen someone parting a Wagon, but not sure right at the moment.

Haven't done to much for the Wagon lately. But I did pick up another '92 Wagon for parts. Body is shot, but it has a "like new" interior, and lot's of other usable parts. It's close to being on the road. Need to get the rims cleaned up, tires mounted, few other odds-n-ends.

  11. Thanks. I would be interested in looking at it. I work in Jackson, near Westwood Mall. My cell number is 517-932-8650, you can call me during my lunch 11:45-12:30, or after 3:45. We'll set up a time for me to come over.

  12. Merry Christmas to you & yours.

If memory serves me right, there are 2 or 3 Blue wires that went to the "old carb". Any one of those will work for the choke power, as it just needs switched power from the ignition switch.

For the fan. Try a jumper wire from the plug for the thermoswitch to Battery -, Fan should come on, key must be "on". If it works that way, check for a short length of wire from the top crossbrace of the radiator to the radiator support. That is a bonding wire to ground the radiator, you need that...

If that doesn't work, posiblity of fan being bad. You can unplug it and run jumper wires from it's connector to the battery. Polarity doesn't really matter as you're just testing the motor.

  13. I'd be happy to help with questions on this.

On mine, other than getting the linkage/cable alignment right, there was no issues with it being 180* from norm. Took me some time getting things right so I had both proper idle and full WOT of the carb.

Weber to intake matching is not the best, either way you sit the carb. It would be better if the carb was more centered over the intake, but that would require a custom built intake.

I had that same intake/carb setup on 3 different BRAT engines, and used it on another EA81 in the '88 GL10 Wagon I had on the road for a short time. That car had wiring issues so we couldn't run the stock SPFI.

  14. Oil Pressure Switch for a '76 Olds Starfire and it's wiring connector.

3 contacts on switch, 1 for oil light, 2 for fuel pump power.

No Oil Prssure, no juice to fuel pump.

Do need to fashion an adapter for switch-oil pump mounting.

  15. Long time, no hear from.... What's up???

  16. Hi, and Welcome to the Board.

I have that intake ducting you posted about.

Email me at tomrhere at yahoo dot com. Put Suby intake in the subject line.

  17. Now just why would I forget who I bought the '82 BRAT from? LOL...

I'll keep an ear/eye out for one for you. But they are a rare item around here.

Seen a couple come up for sale on the yahoo BRAT Club site, may want to check there.

  18. Wagon is sort of 'on hold' for the moment. To cold, and lack of funds mainly... Hope to get back to it here shortly.

  19. Nah, not burning any midnight oil here. Always up by 3:30 AM, been doing it for to many years. Hardly ever hear the alarm go off anymore.... Even on weekends..

Rich is doing just great. Definetly hasn't let any of this get to him. Think it's even made him stronger and more determined than he was.

He's gotten back "in touch" with all of his female friends, except the few what live in other States. Yep, he's doing just fine......... :)

I, was somewhat worried aboout how the "Ladies" would react to him, but it don't seem to matter to them. And it shouldn't!!!! Good guy, with one hell of a heart!!!

  20. Yeah I do.. You can see them here, http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c264/TomRhere/

I traded the '84 BRAT for the '88 XT6. It's been restored from what I hear.

The Brown '86 BRAT was scrapped a few years ago, just way to rusty to do anything with.

The White '86 BRAT is soon to follow the Brown one. :(

Down to just the '85 as a driver. The '82 is currently dismantled, waiting for me to restore the body. Not to sure what all I want to do with it after that.
