external cages
yeah baby! i was thinking about an internal cagr but when i sat in the car (88 hatch) i realized i didn't want my knees in the dash all the time so i started an exo-cage i made a rear bumper that is 2" wider than the body, and in the front i plan on using the lift kit to tie in pieces that will come up just in front of the door and follow the window frame up and all this will tie into my roof rack:brow:

Why do people rely so heavily on compression braking?
i have a 2000 ford f 350 with a utility box on it a i never hesitate to use my gears to sloe down. i have 170000 miles on her at 175 to 200 miles per day in stop and go around my lovely rat hole of a city and the clutch has been replaced once and only because of an accident that should have totaled it:brow:

Rancho Rear replacement shocks
right now in the back of my hatch i have rancho 9012's that are 19" fully compressed and 33 1/4" full extension now of course i cant use the full extension travel but it leaves me with a 1/2" on full compression o and thats on a 6" lift
