PRIMITIVE GRAND OPENING!
Wild West Rally has been canceled so we now have a free weekend to have our long overdue grand opening of the PRIMITIVE new World Headquarters!!!
When: September 25th 11:00am - 5:00pm
Where: 9460 Tigard Street Suite 104, Tigard OR 97223 (Just WEST of Main St in Tigard, under 99W) 503-624-2139
We will have the BBQ hot, give tours of our shop, show off our wares, and oh ya, give rides in our new rally car ROLLOVER SIMULATOR! We invite everyone within earshot to come on down and take part.
Rallyists: tow in your Rally Car and we will have a "tow and show" competition for competition cars and all cars will get a free frame check and evaluation. Mostly just a chance to catch up with fellow competitors and get new ideas for outfitting your SERVICE RIG!
Enthusiasts: Stop in for a hot dog and ride in the simulator, and all cars in the parking lot will be automatically entered into our car show which includes prizes for 5 different, SECRET (and somewhat oddball) categories. Possibly like the car loaded with the most parts and spare bits, most abused, or similar.
More details to be posted on our main page at: www.get-primitive.com
Summary: Free food, games and fun
**Street Car Show** and **Rally Car Tow and Show**
All cars present will automatically be entered into the car show and will be judged on our unorthodox judging criteria.
Prizes available for the winners in each of our five categories.
Looks like a good time!!!

Looks good Sesh! Now drop that mutha in!!
-
It looks like there are 19 cars signed up now. C'mon people this will be a lot of fun and for a good cause too! TSD Rally on Saturday then RallyX on Sunday, what more do you need?
-
So why not build one of these like the sand rail guys do and put the engine in the rear and make it RWD??
-
I signed up for the TSD, see you there Ed!

Here's a picture from WCSS 12, you can see the front KYBs and King Springs.
-
Today with the awesome help of Scoobyclimbs I put on some new KYB GR2 struts and a new set of KING SPRINGS from Primitive Racing. Got another 1" lift out of it and much better handling, will have pics up shortly.
-
I've got one of Primitive's 3/16" thick skid plates on my lifted Loyale and it has withstood several beatings on central Oregon lava rocks. Very much worth it!! I know their WRX skid plates are just as strong in 3/16". I think that they might have a light bar available too, but it would be good to call and check first. If not I'm sure they could weld up something for you.
-
I really recommend Primitve Racing for beefy skidplates. They are rally proven and well made giving you confidence that your oil pan will remain intact. They are very reasonably priced too! Here's the link: http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/skidplate/skid_details.htm

Sounds good to me, I'm thinking coffee stop there.
-
I'll post some pics as soon as I get them on and will have the rig at the show for all to check out. Stay tuned...
-
I'm guessing you have an EA82? I highly recommend King Springs for getting rid of the sag from the original old springs. The Kings are a bit stiffer and will help with loads in the back. Primitive Racing in Tigard, OR sells them see HERE and the King website. They make front and rears for just about any Subaru. I just got a set from Primitive for my lifted '92 Loyale wagon and they are great!

More Subies the better!
-
Looking good, you bringing it to the show?
-
A group of us from the west side are heading out Friday morning for the show. We are going I-84 to HWY97 up. I'll keep an eye out for anyone wanting to caravan.
-
Great, thanks! I'll send you a PM in a week or two with my order.

Johnson;943843']I haven't had any complaints of the bumper interfering with the exhaust' date=' but a notch could easily be put in place.[/quote']
Thanks for the info. Does the bumper wrap around the corners of the car at each end or is it just a straight piece across the rear? Any pics of this would be great! Thanks!
-
Any info???:-\
-
How low does the rear bumper sit? Do you have to put a bend down in your tail pipe to clear the bumper or does it sit high enough for a straight pipe to clear it. If not, can you cut a curve out like the factory bumper for the tail pipe? Do you have any other pics of the bumper to post? I seriously want to get one soon! Thanks!

-
Also put a Primitive Racing rear skid plate on it to protect the cover from snagging on a rock.
Put on some HTI tail light guards too!
-
The tail light guards showed up today and they are very well built. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great instructions too!
Installed easily and clears the rear hatch no prob.
-
Yeah your tail pipe should come to the edge of the bumper. So yes too short, and will continue to make a drippy plastic mess until you have no bumper left there. Also it will start to melt the styrofoam bumper insert leaving you with a non functional bumper. Not so good.
