  1. My '87 with an EA82t has 235,918 and still running, what have you got
  2. Flat Rate for the shop i work at would be 3 hours (if the veh. has P/S, A/C) . I'm actually a service writer and it is required By state law that the customer be contacted and quoted prior to the work being done. if you were not quoted you can ask the current shop what work was done to your veh. make a list and get the exact same quote from four other shops. then you can show the current shop the quotes and explain calmly to the manager what the situation is (Trust me being pissed off and yelling wont get you anywhere if anything it will piss off the manager who wont help you at all after that). Explain that you where never quoted hours or a price. If they continue to say that you were contacted and quoted ask to speak with the person who "qouted" you the time. if they dont have anyone there and they are still fighting you on the situation burn there building to ground. i know that the mechanics that work here hate working on stuff thats torn down and reguardless wether all the bolt were there or not its still a pain to get back together. Best bet for next time if you cant fix it yourself and its somthing you or your friends has no experience with talk to a couple of shops and look around. if you ever on the east side and need somthing give me a call and maybe we can help you out our labor rate is 65/per hour.
  3. What Year Yota rims??? and are there any mods needed?
  4. Shoot i cant even get started on my project cars because i have to fix her cars all the friging time. she has the cutty, a 1960 toyopet that she wants me to restore and she trying to get me to make my 80 sube into a chopped show car. her excuse for having lower the 80 sube is that i have the 83 and 87 to make into 4x4s.
  5. I'm Not going to be able to make it to the event i gotta get some stuff done here, my girlfriend has a 70 cutty and i have to rebuild all the brakes and rebuild the entire front end before i can get my 1980 sube back from her.
  6. right on thanks for the knowledge i appriciate it. the '87 has good compression and has new timing belts on it. the guy i got it from was towing it to the junk yard because a customer of his didnt want to pay for the timing belt and gave him the car. it does run but the people who had it before didnt put the right fuel pump on it and its not putting out enough psi to actually move. but it idles really smooth for a suby. he said if i want to keep it just give him 50 bucks for the belt he threw on it and its mine.
  7. i'm pretty sure its all stock, but i got the thing for free and suposidly all it needs at this point is a fuel pump.
  8. Both of my cars are hatch backs, and i just made a deal with a guy im getting a 1987 sedan with a 2.2 turbo???? not sure if he said 2.2 or 2.0.
  9. Thanks for the advise i appriciate it. how do i tell what my cars are, as in ea81 or ea82?
  10. Hey Yall, I just bought my first subaru about 4 months ago its a 1980 2wd DL. I fell in love with the thing and now own a 1983 GL 4wd, i'm looking to put a lift kit and some other fun stuff my the '83 but i dont know too much about where to find lift kits and such. One last question, i noticed the lug setup on the subies are strange does that mean i can only use the subaru stock rims or is there a way i can convert the hubs? thank for your time and get back to me if you can. The water boy
