  1. I'm going to put an ej22 (hopefully turbo) into an 82 gl sedan. i need to get the tranny first though.
  2. I'm just looking to find out what the width of the trunk lid on a 93/94 imprezza is since I havn't seen one in PAP to measure.
  3. yeah... its um getting an EJ22T and a conversion to 4wd.
  4. Thanks, I was wondering if it might even be possible to adapt the RX body kit to fit as well.
  5. I know a while back I saw mention of the air dams and they had some pics along with pics of all the stock subie wheels. The problem is I can't find them anywhere and I also want a rear spoiler that fits, preferably one with a third brake light.
  6. I am actually going to do a similar conversion (EJ22T) into what is currently an 82 sedan 2wd and for the amount of power increase having 4wd will be a much better idea. Besides the fact that switching rear ends isn't to difficult, just a little obnoxious.
  7. anyone know of any body kit parts or spoilers made for the EA81 sedan or coupe body?
  8. How much harder is it to do the propane conversion with the fuel injection? If its not really any harder than I still might do it because I intend to stay with fel injection. It's half the reason for doing the conversion.... damn emmisions.
  9. I am getting ready to do an EJ conversion on my 82 sedan and if I could also switch that out with a propane conversion at the same time, that would be awsome. What I need to know, like subieman, is what distributer i could use in an american EJ if it is even possible.
  10. I guess we better check the turbo coupe then and see how many splins it has.
  11. Cool! So do you know of anyone who has a 93 fed 5spd impreza tranny? That will make the conversion easy.
  12. oh well, back to doing things the hard way. I'm not sure about the 25 spline thing, I will have to ask carl about that since he has a turbo coupe.
  13. Thanks, I have a 82 fwd 5speed and i want to put an ej into it. I just wanted to know if i could get away without custom axles. 23 spline is correct for the ea81 isn't it? Or am i mixing up my cars?
  14. I heard that there is a two wheel drive model of the legacy that has 23 spline shafts for the axle. I want to know if this is true and if so, which model or year is it?
  15. I'm looking for the complete list of stock four lugs w/pics. I saw on on here a while ago but now I can't find it anywhere. If anyone has it or knows of a website that has it let me know. -thanks
  16. I looked at the rules on the evergreen homepage and they didn't say anything about year or drivetrain. It has to be a fourbanger with a wheelbase of no longer than 100something inches. I believe a stock turbo is also ok, but I'm not sure.
  17. I was looking at the required specs for the hornet racing at the evergreen speedway, and I was thinking it would be kind of fun in a subaru. Although the XT would probably be the best choice, it would be a shame to beat it up. On the other hand, an already beat up two wheel drive coupe would be nice. Just an idea
  18. I found the problem with my heater fan. There was a factory defect in the wiring. The plug from the harness was poorly made and the two terminals were touching each other inside the plastic causing it to short the circuit and blow out my fuses the second I turned it on. You would think that on an 84 with 274+ thousand miles on it someone would have had this fixed.
  19. My defrost fan doesn't work, so I checked the fuses and they blown. When I replaced the fuses and turned on the fan I heard them imediately blow. I am wondering if the problem is just the fan or something in the dash wiring. If anyone has any ideas I want to try and get some advice before tearing into the dash. I'm hoping there is a simple solution, and replacing the fan is no biggie, but I don't want to fiddle with any more wiring than I absolutely have to.
  20. Even with a few bad noises (the nature of which remains to be found) my gutless wonder made it all the way down to Tenino and then up Mt. Ranier and back down. My only prob so far was a minor overheating problem due to a cracked radiator hose and bad traffic. But when I say gutless I mean my top speed is 60 (65 downhill). This was my virgin run for the car and it did fine in the snow and chugging up Ranier.
  21. Oops! that was on the wrong login. This is my my post.
