After about a 45 minute search I found the actual drivetrain loss % and I weighed the car at a weigh station. the results...... Car 1988 rx weight 2500# without driver drivetrain loss 25% test parameters 0-60 and HP acceleration G .53 0-10 1.18 0-20 2.19 0-30 3.10 0-40 4.64 0-50 6.02 0-60 7.80 seconds peak HP 157 (this is flywheel hp) Modifications: Ford SVO TMIC boost controller set to 12 Psi TWE DP 2.5 inch 2.5 inch front pipe, cat, mid pipe and tailpipe Edited November 8, 2009 by vagen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Turbone Posted November 8, 2009 Share Posted November 8, 2009 Heres my dyno run from a couple of months ago. TD04 turbo and WRX TMIC. 2.5in exhaust. Cats still in. Spyder intake with K&N panel filter. MSD coil and Iridium plugs. Boost control set at 12lbs. 102 octane fuel. XT6 flywheel. As you can see, my numbers started dropping off bad after 5k. Turbone Posted November 8, 2009 Share Posted November 8, 2009 Of course, all dyno runs are AWHP. Add the 25% loss for the drivetrain and its around what you came up with. vagen Posted November 8, 2009 Author Share Posted November 8, 2009 using a gtec type thing you need the weight. btw wheel hp on mine comes in at a rather pathetic 118 but torque is in the 140s. vagen Posted November 11, 2009 Author Share Posted November 11, 2009 my engine management keeps hitting fuel cut. is there something I can do or buy that will keep it pulling even on cooler days? Turbone Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 Your boost gauge may not be accurate, fuel cut shouldnt kick in till you get over 12lbs. I changed boost gauges from the VDO that came wiith the car to an autometer (lower limit just 15psi vs 20) and sure enough 13.5psi so I turned it down to just 10 and everything is happy.
